  • you guys are criticizing the game gears graphics? Nintendo's main console at the time of this systems release was the regular nintendo which had awful graphics when compared to the game gear, so i wouldn't be complaining. the super nintendo wasn't even out when the game gear first came out. be thankful it wasn't on the game boy.

  • sms version is the best version of this game imo...the music is the best in this version aswell

  • lol i was going to buy this but.. not anymore. lol, now im buying stubbs the zombie: rebel without a pulse. and, the girls around the guy look like russian butt-ugly farmers. WHY in the world would they bring this game back anyways ?

  • Im surprised they even released this game its so bad.

  • i know.. or mabye you should try TRON or..brain challenge. they should have never realeased those

  • Oh its more than crap.

  • This version of smash tv looks like crap.

  • what's the point of even porting it to a console or a portable which doesn't have a proper control scheme such as the SNES or even a console which has more than one analog stick

  • Exactly could you imagine try playing this on one of the later levels it would be ridiouclous.

  • that makes as much sense as playing Street Fighter with any controller which is meant for Rock Band (and believe me, i've actually played it with the guitar and the drumset)

  • Did you do a haduken?

  • yeah. thing was that where i pulled that off (at a BJ's warehouse store), they had an Xbox 360 for demo play. there was one problem though: even though they had the guitar and the drumset, there was no rockband game in the system, which would've made it meaningless unless it had been for the Xbox live arcade demos it had, and surprisingly it had a demo of SF2 Hyper Fighting which had both Ryu and Guile as playable characters

  • Wow that would be crazy to see some one just sitting there playing sf2hf with just the rock band drums.I wonder whay would happen if you played smash tv with those.

  • it would probably be akward since normally the 360's controller uses the SNES scheme (D-pad on the left and 4 action buttons in a cross pattern), but with the guitar, the action buttons are all lined up. however, since the drumset has a D-pad and the 4 action buttons in a cross pattern, it would work rather well

  • The NES version let you use the second controller's D-Pad as a second joystick, so it wasn't all that bad...

  • @jesse41993 do you realize this is from portable system from 1990-1991?

  • @mechayamcha Yeah I know that. To be honest though that was a pretty stupid comment I made but still they should have not ported it to the game gear. It would be pretty much impossible to play on it.

  • @mechayamcha Oh yeah I forgot to mention. i was not really judging the game by its graphics. I was going by its gameplay. I could care less about graphics because its gameplay that makes a game great. Thats the main reason why I do not care much about the more recent games that have been coming out. Except Super Robot Wars. Those games are awesome.

  • @jesse41993 i hope you mean the game gear one is bad because it dousn't have the right buttons, because smash tv is a fricking classic game. i'd go so far to say its in the top 100 arcade games ever.

  • @mechayamcha Thats exactly what I meant. If you read my other comments thats pretty much the whole conversation. I freaking love Smash TV mainly due to it being a homage to the Running Man and the chaotic amount of enemies on screen.
