In my humble opinion there is nothing wrong with this version. Love it. Its easy driving type music, you know like after receiving a speeding ticket or two for and I needed to slow down. Damn the cops love the song.

I agree with the viewers who are open to a new version: yes the Clash rocks, their version is one of the all time high-energy rock and roll songs (and personally I love it).

But this is surprisingly light and melodic and pleasant and it absolutely stands on its own!

I like this. We all know the Clash rock but after a couple of thousand times, you can't hear the music that clearly any more. This helps. It's beautiful. A lot better than what Scarlet Johanson did to Tom Waits.

Well, thanks for the advice, but I felt like listening to this song and felt like giving my opinion on it. That doesn't mean I torture myself listening to this song on a daily basis or focus my life on hating it. I simply think this "original spin" on Rock the Casbah is a horrible and notoriously boring tribute to the original that doesn't capture any of its magic or even takes a life of its own. That's my opinion, and if you don't like it, nobody's forcing you to read my comments either.
