god i was looking at neil diamond on here as i was bough up on it and came across jonathan livingston, i remember this film i cant belive i forgot about it for so long epic tale that brings a lump to your throat and a great sound track, well i will be going out to look for this film

This must be at the end of the movie, and Jonathan seems to passing on to the next realm. IOW this is supposed to be a NDE (near death experience) Or maybe he really died (old age). I'ts soo long ago I've read the book.

I've read it in german back then had the LP copied to Cassette and listen to it til it broke.

Haven't heard this for years until a couple of tracks I picked up. It brought memories back and emotions I hardly can describe.

Sadly Neil D. ruined his voice by smoking IMHO

anyone have any idea why this story has not been remade with state of the art C.G.I. and audio? As the one responder said, this tale is timeless. The music is beautiful and the message is more vital than ever.

With CGI or animated motion picture this story would make awesome and of course with the soundtrack that Neil wrote for the picture.

Why is it. when looking down from the sky or across it, things appear more beautiful and majestic. It brings a sense of peace, serenity, joy, euphoria and panorama. And how we envy the fowl, wishing we could fly. Somehow Neil Diamond and this score brings it to us, along with a story as old as time.
