  • Awesome gifted guy

  • Long live JACKSON BROWNE!!

  • I saw doctor, my eye in a book and this song came to mind i remember hearing this song as a kid

  • The standard for what I judge musicians is right here!!

  • What a gift--love him

    thanks for this post

  • Recovering from a retina reattachment and this song came to mind and old favorite.

  • moving!!!

  • I've been listening to 'Doctor My Eyes' since I was 16, but I didn't know who sang it, just that it is one of my favorite songs. Now I'm 19, and I finally find out about Jackson Brown. Mr. Brown, you're made me a fan until the end of my days.

  • how can anyone dislike this?

  • Where was this concert made and is it on DVD?

  • How can you not like this version? I'm sad there's not alot more hits? This is a great performance of a great song!!!

  • fantastic, I really wish I could have been there <3 TY 4 posting this :}}

  • Seen Jackson live 5 times once in OJai,CA,2 X Red Rocks,Cleveland,Ohio & Pa. He is the best!!!

  • Wow, he really has taken care of his voice. So smooth. If he shaved he would still look in his late 20s ;-)

  • I love Jackson. I just wish he would smile more often.

  • Heerlijk nummer en iedere keer weer een genot naar zijn muziek te luisteren.... maakt mijn dag goed :-)

  • OK, I clicked on the like button. But what I want to know is where's the "love" button? We need a "two thumbs up" button for this piece.

  • Damn, he looks good. Good enough to eat He must be in his early 60's now, and still one sexy son of a gun.

  • The first time I heard this song, was April 1972. I was 16 years old in the hospital recovering from a broken femur.

  • I just finished watching some Soundgarden and now I'm peeping Jackson Browne. I swear this song brings tears to my eyes. "Doctor, my eyes cannot see the skies! Is this the price for having learned how not to cry?" I'm telling you, Shakespeare could not have put it any better.

  • I can not wait to see him in April in Montreal

  • the sisters have got it going on!

  • OUTSTANDING !!!!!!!

  • awesome.........a step back in time to my youth, what great music

  • I've seen Jackson Browne 15-20 times. He is one of the greatest rock and rollers ever. I wouldn't say he's "polished." He gives up his heart and soul every night.

  • Powerful updated version from the original...Love it! I can't stop rewinding it!

  • this rendition really hits a sweet melancholy note;he,s remained right up there since early 70,s and he,s pure unpretentious class..par excellence.

  • The beauty of Jackson is that he is always evolving. From the early 70's to getting arrested with him at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant in the early eighties( Abalone alliance). The 90's amd 2000's showed him off as a polished musician that still has a voice for the people. And still after almost 40 years I see this song and am still moved...............One of a kind.......Peace

  • @upster20 Well said! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    John

  • @upster20 That's so true what you said about him.

  • these aren't even my favorite song of his- yet I'm impressed! Jackson's music is always amazing though, and his performances are wonderful because you can tell he believes in what he sings

  • JACKSON WITH THE BANDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!MAN THAT IS KOOL.....cafesad

  • JACKSON WITH THE BANDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!MAN THAT IS KOOL.....cafesad

  • what a great talent

  • does anyone know if this concert is available on dvd somewhere?

  • I love Jackson. This song about the environment makes so much sense since I am older.. "it's later than it seems... I hear them cry, just saying it's too late for me"...

  • saw him last night great show

  • And to think I could have been there -- man am I bummed!!!

  • wow

  • he sounds good but has a muskrat gouch mustache.

  • sounds great! I love how he has aged. HOT !

  • Exellent

  • he still sound the same no change... great... thanks for the post

  • OMG!!! Mr. Browne is a POET and MUSICAL GENIUS of the highest quality. Just look a the longevity..30+ yrs..and I've been there for every one, even this one, but unfortunately he'd caught a cold before NOKIA in Grand Prairie, so we didn't get the full effects from Jackson himself :< . But the backup ladies were a big hit.....Of course, it had it's political moments, but after a good roll of the eyes it's time for another hit, so just hang on for more rock history.

  • He is one of the best!

  • .. what i am trying to say is this: ISN'T HE JUST GORGEOUS??? .. yes, he is! he's better looking now than when i first knew of him back in the 70's!!! .. WOWEEEE! ........ suz.

  • That's funny, I watch this over and over agin because of the stunning, electrifying performance of the two girl singers from 5:00 onwards - I'm obviously coming at this all wrong. Maybe I should start watching American idol.

  • @AK2927 except almost all backup singers these days are pros from their own careers, not random idolists or other talent show tv winners.

  • actually. i think i luv this Jackson Browne video as well as any i have seen to date! ............... WOOOOOOOOOOOOW! .. suz.

  • THIS IS A GREAT ONE!

  • OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS JOHN!!! I am sitting here STUNNDED!! You talk about POLISHED PROFESSIONALS!! We have been to a lot of great concerts together and have seen a lot of great bands - including Jackson and his crew - but this performance is off the charts!! Thanks for posting!! I'm going to watch it again right now. PEACE

  • Right on brother! This is as good as it gets!

    John

  • Unbelievable performance. Chavonne, Alethea, and Mark just rocked it. The show in Oakland was fantastic, and this tune blew the doors right off. There'd better be a DVD coming from this tour because Jackson and the band were amazing.

  • What a GREAT song and performance!

  • Played the same combo at Orillia show last week... still sounding as great as ever!

  • Thanks, John, B.T.W., we got runner up in Comp at the Holley ot Rod Reunion.

  • What an amazing band! Just killin' it!

  • Cheers!

    Les

  • cause I have wandered through this world And as each moment has unfurled Ive been waiting to awaken from these dreams People go just where there will I never noticed them until I got this feeling That its later than it seems Doctor, my eyes Tell me what you see I hear their cries Just say if its too late for me Doctor, my eyes Cannot see the sky Is this the prize for having learned how not to cry
  • Here we go..

Doctor, my eyes have seen the years

And the slow parade of fears without crying

    Now I want to understand

I have done all that I could

To see the evil and the good without hiding

You must help me if you can

    Doctor, my eyes

    Tell me what is wrong

Was I unwise to leave them open for so long

  • Good Song!

    Les

  • Thank you for posting this! Here in NYC they didn't air this episode until 12:30 a.m. on Monday (early, early) morning. So, this is my chance to see it.

    - Ian

    Thanks a lot...!
