He has every right to criticize his player. It's the NFL, these are grown men. And a guy like Mare, who has been around forever, shouldn't be missing kicks like that. If he can't take necessary criticism, then maybe he shouldn't be playing.
Oh by the way Olinda Mara the kiker is now Seahawks Francise player. they just anounced they will use their francise tag on him this year. making him one of the most paid kickers. this year he was 95% kicker.
if thats the case why even have a kicker dumbasses its a team not just offense an defense buts also there is a special teams but ya"ll didnt know that..
Well seahawks fans ya got screwed like we did in 2007 he should of never been hired to the seahawks i dont think he should coach for the teams i cant stand he aint worth shit because him and michael fucking vick along with patrino fucked us over
@dave4248 Dave, I understand your point (I live in Seattle), and I USED to think that, too. Junior SEEMS calm, nice, happy, and smiley, but after watching him more, I realized how intense he really is. Hugh Millen roomed with him when they played at Washington, and Hugh said that Junior was a meticulous vacuumer. I think that manifests his deceptive intensity.
How about Jr's rant in 2004 after losing the NFC championship? "Our goal is not to lose conference championships...our goal is to WIN SUPER BOWLS! If you don't meet your goal you fail, you dont' win the super bowl you FAIL!"...still cant' find that one
Steelers Jeff Reed missed two kicks against the Bears which cost them the game. If he made even one of them they'd tie, if he made both they'd win. You don't hear any of the Steelers complaining about that though like this sore loser Jim Mora. How are you gonna call out a teammate like that to the media?
wow jim mora what a sore loser. just like his dad. you wanna talk about missed field goals costing you the game??? well then lets count bears kicker robbie gould's missed field goal. there mora if your smart enough to do the math that means we would have still won the freakin game.
When your down as many key players as we were on sunday every point counts. Everyone else on the team worked hard, he dropped the ball. Missed 2 out of three attempts!
@gierbolini90210 if you lose because the kicker missed then then game was too close to call and theoretically you should have been ahead by a larger margin. if you win because you have a great field goal kicker thats different. my point would have been directed to the rams, panthers, and eagles. if you put your team in a situation where they lost because the kicker did'nt make a last second field goal, you as coach should take the blame.
@EBCHILL2 Bullshit. Your kicker is part of the team just like everyone else. You depend on your TEAM to win. You only need to depend on the kicker to do his JOB.
@upabittoolate then call out everyone who didn't do their job in public not just one player. Do you think mora is the type of person to call himself out if he calls a bad game? I doubt it. And why would you psyche your own kicker out like that? Bottom a good kicker having a bad day and a bad coach having a bad career
You're correct. You have to depend on every man. But you also have to consider timing. If the blocking was bad & the kicker still scores it, he's a hero. If the same circumstances are imminent & the kicker misses, you have to look at the blocking as well as the kicking. Then again you also have to ask if the holder too. AND you gotta ask about the other teams in all 3 phases.
And you better believe Mora calls himself out. Don't mistake an interview for coaching. We aren't in the locker room.
Somebody should have asked Mora Jr about the playoffs. LOL

What an asshole. I see blaming a loss on one teammate is perfectly acceptable.

He's downgrading a player from his team and that for a coach in "NFL" is "unacceptable"

Moran looks like a perfect fit for the Teddy Bears.

Why is this called "like father like son?" Their behavior isn't alike at all. The father is emotional but the son is very composed.

Actually, if your offense could put it in the endzone more, you wouldn't have to rely on your kicker. So, in all reality, your offense lost the game.

@EBCHILL2 that makes no sense, so the patriots didn't deserve to win the 3 SB?
