Ye can get graphics cards with just the two VGA outputs ! Got one in my old Custom made Pentium ! Kinda blew it when i got my new Acer as it`s a lot more compect and i dont know if i can get a smaller card with two VGA outs ! Surely Acer must make them! I`ll have to check this out as it`s much better with two monitors ! Peace Ye`All !!
dude do you fucking now what the fuck your talking about when it comes to installing a fucking video card like you say hey this is 4gb of ram w.e thats not how u say it really
what is he talking?? The main Monitor goes to DVI (the white thing) and the second Monitor goes to VGA (the blue thing). As much as i know DVI has much better quality than VGA.
hey do you know if i can still record even though i dont have monitors,? like can i just record with my micc m audio recording system and computer? please help me out !!
@TEDDYDREAMBIGGOBIG If you have a stereo system just plug it into the amp or aux in if it`s an all in one system ! That will do you untill you can get proper monitor speakers ! Peace Ye`All !
@TheTweeker79 Yeah bro. And then when the components are shitty you just spend the 3000 on an entirely new computer instead of the 200$ to update one component.
God you're an idiot. No, a Mac is not always top-of-the-line no matter what.
my asus core 2 dou gameing laptop cant keep up with my cubase projects, so im getting a custom desktop, intel mobo and i7 2600k bassed with 8gb ram, so pumped
This video really doesn't help. most computers bought recentl are powerful enough to run dual monitors, even most laptops, instead of making people pay for something that's only really important for gaming, show them how to actually set it up. cool studio though man.
Very surprised to see my studio used as the thumbnail for this video. Hahaha! But you should check out an app called "Skootch". It automatically sizes the Pro Tools Mix and Edit windows on the monitors for you at the click of a button. So no more manually re-sizing and re-positioning the windows to each screen!
coudent you just get a VGA Y Splitter and plug one side in to the vga port on the back of the computer then plug 1 end of 1 vga cable in to 1 of the ends on the y splitter what is in the back of the computer and the one for the other screen in the other part of the y splitter
you have a good set up here man but your both construction is driving me crazy! my want to construct it right one day but im a perfectionist and i work in a commercial studio. but your vids catch my eye because it works and the stuff you guys crank out isnt bad. btw as far as this topic goes im running x2 27in monitors because i like the mixer screen of protools blown up as well as the track list. thats what i have in my house
first everyone's a dj now everyone's a producer!

Ok first of all , i really hope you grounded yourself before touching the card in such a way..
and second: Why making a 4 min movie of something you can tell in 4 seconds?
Buy a videocard with more then 1 video output.
Place in pc.
Install the extra monitor ( HDMI , VGA , DVI, S-video whatever. )
Turn on computer
Go to NVIDIA ( or similiar ) program and choose "Clone desktop" or Extend desktop.
Finish.
Your a dick.

God you're an idiot. No, a Mac is not always top-of-the-line no matter what.
Cost of a high-end Mac:
Laptop: 1700.
Desktop: 2400-3000
Cost of HIGHER THAN THAT-end Windows-Native:
Laptop: 600-1000
Desktop: 700-2000

Why did you even make this video? You're such an idiot.
Then again, why did I watch this video... oh yeah, because I thought maybe you had something useful to say.
Holy shit, you have 40 videos? WTF... less time on youtube, more time learning something would be better.

The higher RAM the better, I suggest 1gig and up for Pro Tools, especially if you use Waves plugins being that they hog on video resources.

I have 2, 1GB cards. O-o
And not all cards have both DVi, and VGA. Some bave two VGA, two HDMI, ect, ect.
One a side note, you should be using your DVi as primary, VGA isn't as good quality.
