@merlin2k6 No he's a hypocrite. I wonder if Noel (i've never been funny) Edmonds complained about the lisence fee when he was one of the highest paid BBC presenters in the 90's?
Spot on, Noel hit the nail on the head, we have been trained by modern society not to interact with other people and to only trust the mass media. Time to break that, more people need to get back to proper values.
@mellowNdark You couldn't be more wrong. I don't read any Zionist controlled media is all bollocks. You obviously have a bit of a chip on your shoulder. By the way Noel Edmonds career is on the up and he's worth millions you dyslexic cunt
@giptonsilly Aww a Mr Blobby fan boy? Well think why he is rich to begin with - he worked for the BBC for 25 years! Now do some research and see the BBC reported that the address where he lived had paid the TV license - so he lied!! Amazing what happens when you bother to do research isn't it? Then again, you only seem to manage to cyber bully young girls judging by your recent comments so I doubt you'd understand. Christmas dinner for one this year is it? Bless...
Am I to believe, that the british army, that we pay for in our taxes , is relying on charity hand outs???? also, product placement,, is,nt that a form of advertising? firms pay lots of ££££ to have their product placed in posititions in TV programs?
the idea of the bbc tv license is so we pay for no adverts on bbc 1 and 2, really dnt need to pay for it, most sheep will say well it says on the license blah blah blah, I dont care, your wrong! We shouldnt have to pay for the license anymore anyway as there are adverts on the bbc, especially 3 and 4.
The BBC don't like it up 'em. It was a pleasure watching those two liberal-lefty-socialist news presenters squirming away realising that someone dare question their BBC publicly-funded gravytrain.
good on you noel, why should i pay £140 something to go in your wages, when all your shows were shit and i never watched them, your a good man no doubt - but the shows were pants.
While visiting England, my relatives told me that a van would come down the street with a radar device to scan the house and determine how many tv sets are in the homes. Is this true? What type of electronic equipment is used to detect a tv set in a home?
If they go after someone with his money he'll most likely win and then a precedent will be established in a court of law. Knowing that they really don't have a leg to stand on they instead stick to threatening those that can't fight back. I tell them to sod off and one the one occasion they threatened legal action I paid to have a solicitors letter sent and heard nothing more. That was three years ago .

BBC has institutionalized the licence fee for so long that we need to just accept that its pissed off too many people now. I like some of the programmes. I hate most of the rest. I dont think its good value but then again that doesnt matter because we are not given to choice to say nah..thats no good no thanks. THAT is the point that matters. Edmonds is right.
I haven't paid a for a BBCTVL since May 2009 & wish I'd stopped years before that, the BBC crooks have a ton of my money already & that makes me sick!
Have you seen how much biased pro pope bullshit has been pumped out on the BBC recently? It's quite unbelivable that the BBC are promoting homophobic child abusing catholic priests & their head the pope, but very happy I'm no longer paying for it :)
i have a new found respect for Noel, tv licensing depend on peoples fear of legal action to squeeze money out of you, be informed. and i do love his philosophy on improving every day with an altruistic act.
The license fee pays for independent public service broadcasting across all channels. ITV and C4 get a share, which pays for things like the news and science programming. It also pays for the digital TV switchover, training of thousands of TV and radio production staff, and a heap more that all UK broadcasters benefit from. Take it away and every channel turns into Sky One. But I guess you'd like that, wouldn't you? Certainly Noel's boss, Rupert Murdoch would.
A few months ago I got rid of all televisions in the house. the children started to wake up. The 10 year old wants to be an author and on her recent report her teacher said that she knew she would be one The twelve year old has started computer programming instead of playing games. Both their bikes have been seeing a bit of action their friends seem friendlier to them and they are simply happier human beings.
There is not point to the license. We need good true FREE-to-air tv with money going to production of great drama and other shows instead of the reality shows. We also need better sponsorship and product placement which can reduce the costs
After being RIPPED OFF by the BBC starting the license I had in 2006, 20 days earlier than I registered the license! Very nasty customer care which doesn't give a toss.
The Licence fee goes up as of 1st April 2010 to: £145-50
Never mind the UKs going through the worst recession in 70 years and everyone is scared to death of losing their jobs, or have lost their jobs, or even having to take pay cuts to stay in work.
Oh NO NO NO this simply doesn't apply to the BBC now does it, TV watching being such a basic necessity of life we just can't do without.
Tell you what Dane, don't tell me about my corrupt BBC and I wont tell you about yours! The licence fee brings in £3.6 Billion every year from the UK public, this is forced out of people via TVL goons and threat letters weather they want to watch the BBC or not. In the UK we call this a monopoly, much like the game, I'm sure you remember. The initial investment in to BBC America, BBC Scandinavia and BBC Worldwide ect was funded from this public pot of money.
@TheTVLicence As opposed to it being more costly to pay for ITV through buying the products advertised than it is to pay for the BBC? And that is whether or not you even have a TV!
As opposed to having a choice, like the choice you have when purchasing products, branded or otherwise, advertised or otherwise. What a poor argument, you've already made my point for me.
When I don't purchase Persil washing powder and go for a cheaper unadvertised one do ITV send a goon round to my house banging on my door? Do they send me threatening letters? Do they put their own adverts on their own channel, filled with propaganda lies and misinformation?
@TheTVLicence You do have a choice. You can watch TV on the internet now, like people are doing above, without needing to pay for a licence.
No, because the tax that you pay is already included in the price of the product you are buying. It's something called VAT. I suggest you research it. No need to send you threatening letters because you can't evade paying VAT, unless you go duty free!
@TheTVLicence and no, but the media tell lies about the BBC. The Daily Mail regularly give out free gifts of BBC shows on DVD. Hmmmmm, *very* anti-BBC!
If you've actually worked at the BBC, you'd realise that there are many members of staff there (especially senior members of staff) that do support the Conservative party, just not Thatcherism. Think of them as being pro-John Major.
Don't assume I'm a Tory just because I'm against the licence fee, because I'm not. That answer of yours in itself tells me so much about you.
It tells me that you know the BBC is biased toward the left and is as everyone knows NOT impartial as it's Royal Charter dictates. It tells me that you think anyone who would attack the left MSM (BBC/Guardian etc) must be a Tory. It also tells me your thick, VAT is NOT paid to ITV but to the government.
@TheTVLicence I avoided answering your questions because I thought the answer was glaringly obvious? They don't need to send someone round to your house, because you already pay extra tax etc when you buy Persil. They put their own adverts on their own website, and fill their adverts with lies and misinformation when they use those "Persil Vs. other Brand" clips.
No, it tells you that I mis-judged you. nothing more. It's quite a stretch of insanity to link that to the BBC's alleged bias!
Oh yet another mealy mouthed YouTube English teacher, I'm sure I could do the same by checking every word of all your posts and find something. My confidence requires no spell checker but occasionally swallows it's pride on the alter of speed of reply.
Regarding VAT, garbled rubbish from you and you know it!
Didn't I say "As opposed to having a choice, like the choice you have when purchasing products, branded or otherwise, advertised or otherwise".
@TheTVLicence I've been busy today, so had no time to reply to your childish argument.
Right then, quote where I (didn't) say that ITV receives VAT. Twisting my comments to try and make you look better does not work.
OK, people have a choice, but this choice of products is ever decreasing every day as more smaller companies are taken over by bigger ones - the ones that advertise. So some people buy products that have a certain brand that are owned by a bigger corporation that advertises!
Childish argument eh, your the one who replied to my comment in the first place which had been there for over a year. You really do need to take a look in the mirror, your the jumped up little mealy mouthed student telling me all about VAT!
I know all about the so called value added tax after running my own business since you we in nappies.
This is what happened here: You shot your mouth off and then got caught out and taken down!
companies should start making televisions that cant actually receive or at least block the signal that the bbc broadcast... then we could have a CHOICE if we wish to receive the signal and we dont then we wont need to pay a tv license to those BBC assholes
@scott2k44 Have you seen the brilliant stuff that they come out with as well? Top Gear. Doctor Who. The Secret Life of the National Grid. Educational programmes for schools and colleges and the Open University, BBC Parliament.
Look and compare to the downmarket nonsense on the commercial channels.
Though I do agree with Noel (bring back Noel's House Party!) that the threat tactics that TVL used a few years ago were very unacceptable!!!
Vic and Bob did a much better job of advertising the TVL
Ppl shud have the choice for subscription, i dont want BBC in my house end of story. It is not a LAW for you to have TV License, it is a company policy, anyone who wants to check your property MUST have a warrant from the court to enter. If the TV Man comes just tell them FK OFF! And Record for YouTube and ur own evidence.
Fucking TV License, But he lied though as he had a valid TV License because the tv licensing confirmed it.. But he is right about the way the bully people to purchase one. Its worst here in Ireland they stalk you with letters saying you will be fined or imprisoned. One good thing though is at least the BBC dont show 6 minutes of adverts every quater of a hour unlike RTÉ here.
them two newsreaders can go fucking die! they dont know what it is like for us to listen to them cunty twats. yeah thts right, noel doesnt pay and we dont give a shit you freeloading cunts
Well "the rest of you" should stop paying a single penny to the big bastards too, and hopefully the company will admit defeat and abolish the licence fee.
Well, guess what? I'm now one of them 3,000,000 people not paying a penny to the BBC, and I've had the usual threatening letters, which I ignore and if anyone knocks on my door to enquire about me not having a license, I ignore them too.
there is another video on this. how do we join up all these anti bbc licence fee vids to make it one big movement. please watch all the related videos until you've seen them all
I've already seen you say this. I don't need to dump my telly because I don't have one. That's not the point. I would have a telly if I didn't have to contribute to the crap the bbc makes like Eastenders. Tellies are very useful for many things other than watching bbc and I'd like the freedom to have one without having to be pestered for nothing.
@TheFreemanuk the video is titled "Noel admits TV license evasion live on BBC news!" i thanked him for what he said on that subject. not about a pair of trainers. thanks

Take it away and every channel turns into Sky One. But I guess you'd like that, wouldn't you? Certainly Noel's boss, Rupert Murdoch would.
parlezuml 1 year ago 2
@parlezuml At least we'd be paying for services we actually want; terrestrial programming is crap in comparison to that of either sky or virgin.

TheTVLicence 1 year ago 4
again, your ignorance is incredible if you think the bbc can run on the licence fee alone.. no fucking idea how the real world runs, do you?
hcvang 1 year ago
@hcvang
Big kid with a big month eh?

AidanLunn 9 months ago
@AidanLunn
Wow, what a moron!
TheTVLicence 9 months ago
@TheTVLicence You do have a choice. You can watch TV on the internet now, like people are doing above, without needing to pay for a licence.
No, because the tax that you pay is already included in the price of the product you are buying. It's something called VAT. I suggest you research it. No need to send you threatening letters because you can't evade paying VAT, unless you go duty free!
AidanLunn 9 months ago
@TheTVLicence and no, but the media tell lies about the BBC. The Daily Mail regularly give out free gifts of BBC shows on DVD. Hmmmmm, *very* anti-BBC!
If you've actually worked at the BBC, you'd realise that there are many members of staff there (especially senior members of staff) that do support the Conservative party, just not Thatcherism. Think of them as being pro-John Major.
AidanLunn 9 months ago
@AidanLunn
Thanks for not answering my questions.
TheTVLicence 9 months ago
@TheTVLicence I avoided answering your questions because I thought the answer was glaringly obvious? They don't need to send someone round to your house, because you already pay extra tax etc when you buy Persil. They put their own adverts on their own website, and fill their adverts with lies and misinformation when they use those "Persil Vs. other Brand" clips.
No, it tells you that I mis-judged you. nothing more. It's quite a stretch of insanity to link that to the BBC's alleged bias!
AidanLunn 9 months ago
@TheTVLicence "your thick" - ironic coming from someone who doesn't recognise that it's "you're".
I never said VAT is paid to ITV. I was talking about the extra costs added to the cost of advertised products to pay for the advertising costs.
AidanLunn 9 months ago
@AidanLunn
"CHOICE"
think about it!
TheTVLicence 9 months ago
@TheTVLicence I've been busy today, so had no time to reply to your childish argument.
Right then, quote where I (didn't) say that ITV receives VAT. Twisting my comments to try and make you look better does not work.
OK, people have a choice, but this choice of products is ever decreasing every day as more smaller companies are taken over by bigger ones - the ones that advertise. So some people buy products that have a certain brand that are owned by a bigger corporation that advertises!
AidanLunn 9 months ago
@AidanLunn
It happened, accept it & deal with it, move on.
TheTVLicence 9 months ago
@TheTVLicence That's not childishness, that's just me stating exactly what I want to say. Nothing childish in that.
Quote where I told you whatever it is I (allegedly) said about VAT.
"since you were in nappies" - perfect example of a childish argument there.
"caught out and taken down" - you make it sound as if you're punishing me for something.

Its worst here in Ireland they stalk you with letters saying you will be fined or imprisoned. One good thing though is at least the BBC dont show 6 minutes of adverts every quater of a hour unlike RTÉ here.

Some interesting info about the TV licensing company.....
Firstly, its abusing it's own charter in a number of ways to include...accepting money from the EU.
The EU intergration is treasonous as power of the UK has been handed to a foriegn country.
Secondly, it is supposed to report fair unbias news but refuses to report on things like Operation Ore and the Gaza war.
This is not suprising as TV licensing was run by consignia, trading as Alistair Darling!!
