  • I like it

  • beautiful!

  • @thomdrock Thank you!

  • haha ha good good

  • @pindon504 Thank you!

  • I hate bees. I wish they would all die.

  • @Iwanalivelife Well then you would die too.

  • Great video. Thanks

  • Gotta drink that water so they can keep the world turning.

  • these bees are so cute! now if only they didn't sting...

  • @karenlinda1 Well they do sting but you are probably confusing Bees with Yellow Jackets or Wasps. Yellow Jackets and Wasps are very aggressive. Thanks for watching!

  • i have bees and i love them so intereresting

  • Beautiful video with awesome music! Can you tell me the title of the song and the performing artist please? It wouldn't be by Brian Eno, or would it?

  • @Pincer88 Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. That music is a roylaty free piece of music that came with Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Production Suite. The clip name is 180-Faith-Variation D. SonyVegas comes with a lot of great royalty free music. I don't even use it as my video editor I bought it just for the music and sound effects. In addition the suite comes with SoundForge a wonderful audio editor.

  • @beekalmer Thanks very much. It's just beautiful. Music and video work very soothing for me. Maybe you're a people calmer as well. ;)))) I'll try to find the music on the net.

  • @Pincer88 I will see if I can research it and find out the name of the composer. Have a great day!

  • Thank you for this! Just beautiful. Videos like this will get us through the winter 'til our bees come out again. :)

  • @addistubbs Thank you very much what a nice comment. Glad to meet another beekeeper.

  • For a moment I actually thought they were cute... Then they started flying...

  • @mitch7th It is kinda eerie looking but fascinating too.

  • @mitch7th They are cute and people most often confuse them with Yellow Jackets which are the mean ones. Thanks for watching.

  • I got chills watching this... bees scare the heck out of me :(

  • Wonderful footage! Long live the honey bee

  • @plopnod Thank you for watching. Bees need all the help we can give them with the onset of Hive collapse syndrome.

  • @beekalmer I know,and it just kills me.Very sad.

  • Wow, Bees are awesome, Honey is even more awesome, this Video was awesome, and you even got some cool facts about Bees i for myself didnt know. Thanks for that :)

  • @ShadeScarecrow Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it.

  • I love very much the bees and this video is beautiful.

    Thank you for sharing.

  • @rougezaferan Thank you I think they are amazing.

  • Really lovely insects.

  • It's so cool when they take off to fly!

  • @webkinzproductionz22 Yes it doesn't look real but it is. thanks for stopping by.

  • Amazing!

  • @AlGhaffar Thank you for watching, I am glad you enjoyed it.

  • lol they are so cute

  • ohh they are so fluffy i wish i can hug them

  • @BEMARist You are better off just watching from a far but go buy some honey and enjoy how good that feels going down.

  • @beekalmer *sigh* i really want to hug them

  • LOL @ 0:32

    hahaha, thats a fail

  • @Nathanchooper Hahaha! I did not notice that!

  • @Nathanchooper @nothinglim28 Look for the fail in my other video Butterfly and Wasps.

  • Another awesome video, I love watching the bees that are away from their nest, they have no desire to sting as long as they aren't squeezed or unreasonbly aggitated in some other way.

  • It should be "Pszczoły z bliska w zwolnionym tempie" :) great video anyway

  • @CkyKZG Thanks, so much for google translate. Now I can fix it thaks for the help.

  • @beekalmer Actually, it would be "Pszczoły piją wodę w zwolnionym tępie"

what he said was "Bees in closeup in slowmotion"

Mine is the right one in Polish :)

  • @PikolUploader Thanks, what does yours say?

  • Comment removed

  • i like the pulsating bee butt

  • Urmm You said the chinese translation wrong

Your chinese translation meant : Bees close slow moving

  • @MaRc40551 Google translate. Would you be willing to give me the correct translation? Thanks either way.

  • @beekalme 蜜蜂缓慢吸水

  • @MaRc40551 Thank you very much!

  • I have no desire to have any interaction with bees but they truly are amazing insects!

  • @xxTyler97 I was maybe 2 feet away when I took this video and they could have cared less. Unless you get in their face they will pretty much ignore you. Thanks for stopping by.

  • @xxTyler97 Google translate. Would you be willing to give me the correct translation? Thanks either way.

  • This is a nice clip.

  • @ultraslo Thank you, I am glad you stopped by.

  • Thanks for uploading something so wondrous

each hive has a different scent doesn't it

so if honey bee gets placed in a different one

    those other hunnies kill it

  • @Rosiexxmyrearendxx Yes that is right. Sounds like you know something about bees. Thank you for stopping by.

  • @Rosiexxmyrearendxx

not really lol i was stung when i was younger and wanted to know about them

i can't get over sometimes of just how something natural like this can be caught by nothing more than a

beautiful eye and want to share the beauty with the world

    so thank you :)x

  • @Rosiexxmyrearendxx It makes me happy that I have someone to share this wonder with,so thank you.

  • Very nice!

  • I just watched this again in full-screen and all I can say is Wow!

  • @mygoodstuffreviewed Thank you that is very kind. I am glad you enjoy it as much as me, I still go wow too.

  • Very humbling video, this should be a reminder that at the end of the day, every creature who roams the earth depends on water as a source and bringer of life!

  • @suekosa Well said.

  • this is exciting

  • @picaticatara I agree. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Very good Video from drinking Bees action.

  • Very professional video. Truly amazing and I am sure even the bee experts would be transfixed by this footage.

  • @celinne700 Wow, thanks for that!

  • hi beekalmer !!!! god, is this video wonderful !!! they are so sweet when they drink water and crawl one over the other..... watching them I nearly forgot that they have pins !!! never in my life I killed an insect except moskitos, for me all animals are special, but I have a great respect for bees (hehe they fill my honey-glass). what a good job you did !! congratulations !!

  • @gigi101060 Thank you. We love honey too and the bees gives us plenty.

  • Beautiful!! That slomo is awesome!

    Is this your new camera?

  • @thomdrock Yes it is the SonyHandycam HDR-CX110. I thought you might like this. Thanks for stopping by.

  • OH NO! BEES! KILL THEM!!!

  • @Mostdef Then you´ll die

  • @Bebuvvter yeah yeah sure Einstein

  • @Mostdef It´s true, man >.< If you don´t wanna unterstand ... your bad

  • @Bebuvvter I'm gonna go kill me a bee today

  • @Mostdef Okay

  • We love everything about this video!

  • @gramof5kids Thanks! Glad you stooped by.

  • Now I know why Silverpoint and CirSam wanted me to take a look at this video! They thought this would make be a bee lover - and I must say, I'm starting to have a little more love for them now. This is an absolutely beautifully shot video and I even learned a little something - I had no idea that they only live for approximately one month and that each bee only produces such a small amount of honey in it's lifespan. I have many bees to thank when I put honey on my toast!

  • @jennifergwaine @cirsam @silverpoint are two fine friends of mine. I am glad you took a cat break to enjoy the bees. Did you notice how they wash their faces like cats? Thanks for stopping by and I am happy you enjoyed the bees.

  • @beekalmer yes, they are kind of cute they way they wash their faces like cats. That's amazing to me though that you were able to get so close to film them - you're braver than I. Either that or you have a super zoom lens.

  • @UFCPoland Exactly right!. They populate our crops so they play a major role in feeding us. Right now Bees are at risk from a variety of different environmental threats. Colony Collapse Syndrome.

  • Aw, it's like a bee bath house.

  • @kelath5555 Exactly, we fill a bird bath with water and put rocks and sticks in it just for them.

  • smart

  • On second glance, it wasn't a bee sting...and yes, the bees line the pond getting a nice uninterupted drink...as do all the winged creatures, hummingbirds, doves, little itty bitty guys that I don't know what they are...and if I'm really lucky, a wild parrot stops by. So the bees are safe, and go out with me to pick berries or whatever is in season. Their hive(s) are inside the garage, but we've never gone looking for honey. It's there, I'm sure, but hidden very well.

  • @ibsunnysha Really you think they are in the garage? If the outside of the hive is mud or paper it is not a Bee. If they can get into a wall they will create the wax honeycomb that becomes their home. The wax cells hold the regurgitated pollen and nectar that becomes the Honey. Other cells are for brood that they Queen lays. If the bees have been in there for a while there could be gallons of honey but it would be impossible to extract unless you called in an expert to relocate them.

  • Brilliant video and mesmerizing sound in backgroud. Do you know what is the name of music?

  • @869113325 Thank you for the compliment. The music is a piece of Royalty Free Music that came with Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum. 180-Faith-Variation D. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Wow O.O After one day you´ge got over 2000 views !! Respect, that´s really awesome

  • @MeinBebuvvter Apparently Bees can be as popular as Cats. The count on the page is lagging behind the true count which is almost 3000 right now. Thanks for stopping by!

  • @beekalmer Hmm, you´re right

  • Wow! Fantastic, so that's why all the bees are lining up to do around our pond. I loved the music...ominous, yet beautiful all at once! Thoroughly enjoyed this...thanks!

  • @ibsunnysha Being a Bee is thirsty work. You know that old saying, you can lead a bee to water...

  • @beekalmer AND, he might turn around and sting you...going for the water right after, knowing the jig is up! And you're left behind, jumping around trying to remember what the scout's book said to do about it. Jeez! The bee had no sense of humor at all...Still, really loved the video!!

  • Great video.

  • this video is amazing. the bees kind of looked like alians, and up close, you could tell that they had fur. honeybees are everywhere at my house, my mom plants all the stuff honeybees like, but no hives, so i worry about them dying off like many honeybees have. i'm glad that there are still lots of honey bees in the world.

  • @cricketflowerwarrior Honey bees travel 1-5 miles from their hives when they go out foraging for pollen and nectar. Must likely they have a hive to go home to. Having said that Bees are very much at risk these days for a number of environmental reasons. Since they are pollinators this is not good for us or the Bees. BTW tell your mom thanks!

  • @Sojio Cool thanks i will be waiting for that.

  • @Sojio Bees typically drown in swimming pools so when we picked our home we made an effort to stay away from any homes that had swimming pools. When their wings get wet they can't fly. You are a good person to let the bees drink from your shirt. That is a great story I would love to see a picture of that.

  • This video just changed my life.

  • @zxcasdqwez3 I hope in a good way. Bees are so misunderstood and precious to sustaining all of our crops. No bees, no fruits and veggies. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Amazing! I love bees! I always wanted to see a nice close up of these guys, thank you ^_^

  • @CrayonVlogger Glad to be of service. Thanks for stopping by.

  • makes me appreciate the honey I put on my cheerios a bit more. thanx for the nomnoms guys.

  • @WesleyButtercup You are welcome!

  • Oh, what thirsty bees! Beautiful images ^o^

  • @superantonella63 Thanks, glad you enjoyed them.

  • Love this! But I noticed that all the bees had empty pollen sacs. This is strange to me as I am accustomed to seeing honey bees with the yellow bulges on their legs as they forage from flower to flower.

Love bees. Have a friend who plays his cello in the garden next to his hives. Swears the bees come and crawl all over the instrument when he plays...

  • @AveryMilieu The hive is just a few feet away from this bird bath we put out especially for them. They have already left the pollen back at the hive and they are taking a water cooler break.

  • Insane cölip, my friend!!! :-) That´s really awesome :)

  • @Bebuvvter Thanks, Bees are so important and I wanted to make a good video about them.

  • @beekalmer Yes, you´re right ;) Without bess our world can´t exist

  • I also added this to my favorites. ♥ Thanks again for this beautiful filming and footage.

  • @ashleypurrs ..Hey AM, your channel only shows your uploads. I can't access your favorites list.

  • Watched it again now like 5 times.. the way they fly is just incredible. Make more bee videos please! This is phenomenal!!

  • @ashleypurrs Well you go right a head and watch as much as you like. I am enjoying it myself. It is amazing what these creatures are about.

  • @ashleypurrs I can't stop watching it either. Our girl did really good on this one. Make me wonder what that camera or something similar would do with cats in slow motion.

  • @silverpoint16 Agree with everything your wrote.. :)

  • @silverpoint16 @ashleypurrs A video of my cats favorite pastime in slow motion-Sleeping.

  • @beekalmer @silverpoint16 Hahhahahhaa!!!! :D

  • @beekalmer @ashleypurrs That wasn't what I meant and you know it. LOL.

  • This is incredible! The part at 0:30 with the bee flying over is stunning. Amazing!

  • @ashleypurrs The camera has a slow motion feature that I am sure I am going to wear out. BTW thanks for sharing this with me. Its great to know I am not the only one riveted by the bees.

  • @beekalmer You're very welcome.. and thanks for uploading your amazing videos. I love them all. ♥ Agree with @silverpoint16 that maybe you could try some slo-mo cat videos.. I'd love to see Lucy in slow motion!! :D

  • Stungingly BEEautiful! This was as well done as anything I've seen on a professional documentary. I am very impressed my friend ... would love to see more please. I think this will generate quite a bit of buzz! =o)

  • @RockyBDemilleFan Oh beehave! Maybe I'll suit up and shoot inside the hive.

  • @beekalmer That would be ** Groovy Baby!** =o)

  • I wondered why your username was beekalmer. Well now I know. Since I've been a fan of the channel, a name like 'LucysGoodHumorGetter' would have been a more appropriate name I thought..lol

But I've loved every video you've put up in the last several months. And this one was great too. So I guess I'm a bee fan now.

  • @CirSam I created my YouTube Channel long before I ever made a video. But then again what the hell does Klaatu42 mean? I like the name suggestion for a Lucy Channel.

Thanks for the great comments, it is always a pleasure to have you stop by. Aren't Bees fascinating?

  • @beekalmer .. The channel is perfect the way you have it. I don't think Lucy needs her own channel. We who love her, know where to find her. Along with the great Mr. Muggles, parrots, guinea pigs and other things. And BEES. They certainly seem fascinating in this video. My education on bees was limited to the Jerry Seinfeld movie. So I'm a bit of a novice to say the least.

  • Great video, beautiful details. They definitely seem to bee (sic) happy about the water. And yes, start a 2nd channel for something like this, so we all can Bee Happy! Thumbs up=^o^=

  • @FunnyAccent1 I can barely manage one channel but I love the insects so I may have no choice. Always a pleasure to have you stop by.

  • I totally love this video. Beautiful bees, beautiful precious life they lend to us.

Much respect.... please make more like this one.

    Thank you for sharing.

  • @2darbit Thank you so much. I may have to start a 2nd channel for insects. I don't think Lucy is going to want to share this channel with too many flying insects. She just wants to chase them.

  • Beautiful and informative. Trust you to make an A class effort with a bee movie!

  • @DrNworb Thanks for that. Bees are so interesting to watch and the honey is awesome.

  • i hate the way they move their abdomen

  • @shoopwhoopX To me it is fascinating.

  • I never knew they drank water, either. This was a really lovely video.

  • @gwendelk Oh yes they are very thirsty. We put out a bird bath with rocks and sticks in it just so they can perch and drink without falling in.

  • @beekalmer I love that you did that. There is one shot where we can see one bee hanging from one of the sticks by its back legs in order to reach the water and it just seems like something any species would do, you know? Makes you realize how alike we all are.

  • Just watched this again in HiDef and full screen mode and saw much that I missed the first time around. Wow!

  • @silverpoint16 Isn't it amazing! This little camera is worth every penny. Did you notice how their legs hang down as the fly around?

  • @beekalmer Yes. I will probably have to watch it few more times to take it all in.

  • This is fascinating! Bees are very intelligent and have quite a communication system. I never knew they drank water! Are you professional keepers of an Apiary? Have you ever gotten stung?

    Had their honey? So interesting!

  • @Suzan4B Bees are amazing. Toni is the beekeeper in the family as well as the Cat rescuer. We have 3 hives right off the back porch. The honey is delicious. Best ever. I have never been stung by one of our own bees. Matter of fact most people are stung by wasps or hornets not bees. Honey bees are not aggressive and just want to go get nectar and pollen for the honey making.

  • @beekalmer I've visited an Apiary once! Actually it was in Italy,a friend of my step father's who had Hives on his property. The Honey is out of this world but I always stayed far away as he showed us the area. How do you start this going? Does one order/purchase a Hive?or were you lucky enough to have one there already? A few yrs. back, overnight it seemed there was a honeycomb, hive structure affixed on a church wall in the middle of the main street swarming with Bees! It was a big event!

  • @Suzan4B People raise bees in in the city on rooftops. Look for local beekeeping classes in your area by Googling it. Toni took a class from a local beekeeper almost 18 years ago. The class will help you find the gear you need locally. You start by purchasing a box of bees before Spring and the equipment to build a Box. If you take a class this fall you will be all set for next year.

  • @beekalmer Oh no,no really that's ok! I've been Googling to find out more, but no Bees for me!! I know people here who have Roosters in their yards and Roof Top Pigeons. I am not for the Bees! Anyway,I'm in an apt, without a patch of green to call my own! My experiences with Bees have not ben pleasant.;especially in August when they are around the most by food,Flowers, garbage and me!

  • @Suzan4B I have good news for you. Those aren't Bees those are Yellow Jackets.

  • @beekalmer REALLY?? See how much I know about Bees??? Yes u r right! Bees have no business with us! They have their mission. Yellow Jackets are the ones. Smaller and pesky!

  • @Suzan4B Yellow Jackets eat meat. Bees just want pollen and nectar. People always think they got stung by a bee but usually it is a wasp or yellow jacket.. BTW our Bees are Italian. Most Bee is in the North East are. They are a friendlier strain of Bee.

  • @beekalmer Very interesting! I've only seen the Bee Hives in Italy as I mentioned and I recall that although my step father's friend was right next to and in the thick of it all,the Bees never became aggressive or attacked. Of course there is a respect that must be given in terms of approach,Honey collection etc. but it must be true about Italian Bees. The Hive on the church was a shock_stupid people were stoning it! I'd sting too! But these bees didn't. The Fire Dept. was called to remove it.

  • OMG, that was amazing. You have one excellent camera. Very well done my friend. It's going right into my favourites.

  • @silverpoint16 Thank you for the kind words. This was so much fun to make.
