@pgaurav There is no obligation to have more than 1 wife and in the case where more than one wife is being sought it is preferred that the second or more wives are accepted by the first. Also the requirement for multiple wives is to be able to be as you are with the first, with all i.e. no preferantial treatment, equality. The focus should be on the respect and honour it brings not sex and lust. When teh situation occurs where there are more women than men we will see what God brings.

It is a FACT that the female population currently greatly outnumbers the male population and will continue to do so as time goes on.(scientifically proven 100%) The Qur'an says that it is permissible to marry more than one wife.

@pgaurav There is no obligation to have more than 1 wife and in the case where more than one wife is being sought it is preferred that the second or more wives are accepted by the first. Also the requirement for multiple wives is to be able to be as you are with the first, with all i.e. no preferantial treatment, equality. The focus should be on the respect and honour it brings not sex and lust. When teh situation occurs where there are more women than men we will see what God brings.

For example: Quantum Theory consists of Equations, principles, laws etc. Quantum Theory is not itself a law but it explains all these.

he says there are more women than men (it's the opposite , even in some muslim countries) , he says there are scientific verses in Quran (while all of those "scientific" verses have been twisted and interpreted to suite modern science)
In 1400 years of Islamic History , so many scholars of Quran came and went but none could discover any scientific fact. But when the western scientists discovered them thorough scientific research , these zakir naik types came and said :hey it's already in Quran!

For example, the Gopal Tapani Upanishad [5](chapter 1, verse 10, 1.35, 1.1, 1.24) speaks about the form of the Supreme Lord. So does the Katho Upanishad [6] (2.2.13, 2.3.10 to 16) explain the form of God[7]. For instance let's take the verse from Yajurveda in question. Zakir Naik quotes "na tasya pratima astii "There is no image of him" (Yajur Veda 32.3) Interestingly he also quotes Svetasvatra Upanishad (4.19) which has a similar verse: "na tasya pratima astii "There is no likeness of him" (Svetasvatra Upanishad 4.19)

Zakir Naik quotes Yajur veda (32.3) to prove that God doesn't have a form. Whether God has a form or not according to Vedic scriptures is a secondary point. It's more important to first question the authenticity of the references used by Dr Zakir Naik.
