The eel(s) most likely are use to divers if the dive boat frequents the same spot regularly and feeds them. Normally you just don't approach a moray eel and start touching it like Jerry did. Those things are very territorial and aggressive. Jack's Dive Locker in Kailua-Kona are the good folks who hosted Jerry when he visited for diving.
Jerry, I love you man, but petting a half dozen morays, picking up nudibranchs, and chumming the water for various reef fish...not so cool. After all three videos, that was probably the longest I listened to 'Seastones' however.
