Sorry but this story is not real. For those who REALLY like horror cinema knows that this movie is "Alien Abduction" from the director Dead Alioto. He made this movie back in the 80's.
Then, he saw he could make a better one with new crew and actors, so he did what we know as "Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County", or "The McPherson's Tapes".
And the reason you don't find this movie anywhere is because it was underrated and was never sent on DVD, it only exists in VHS.

I have to say, if this is rehearsed, than this is the best acting I have ever seen for this type of movie. The Aliens in my opinion look fake, but the emotion and fear felt very real. Somebody please tell me, is this real or fake?!

The bad thing about the McPherson tape is how obviously rehearsed the whole thing is, i love the how it stars, teh power cuts and they go to check it out and come across an alien ship, it should have just ended there and they would have had a believable video on their hands, but instead they went the extra mile and ruined it. The most obvious part is the ended where he puts the camera down and it captures the alien beings walking in, thats just sooooo scripted

I think it's fake cause of the shotgun blast inside the house was fake, you would have herd a lot more of a boom, with debree. and the camera angled at the exact spot where the children in costumes walked in, it all seemed organized to me especially when the fist two walk in and the third one looks rite at the camera and walks towards it. good directing job. No one would bring in a dead alien into there house if they were that scared of them

@MoonySolo I found it just fine from the video store (of course it was a number of years ago). I've seen both (in fact I think I rented them from the same place). Both of them had credits at the end which clearly showed that they were indeed movies.
This is the original and is true it does not look scripted. If it is, they are doing some pretty good acting. the emotions seem very much real. The one thing that catches my eye is the length of the aliens arms. They are down to their knees. They mostly keep their arms straight which makes me suspecious ,only in two cases do I see one bend his arm a little.

Sorry but this story is not real. For those who REALLY like horror cinema knows that this movie is "Alien Abduction" from the director Dead Alioto. He made this movie back in the 80's.
Then, he saw he could make a better one with new crew and actors, so he did what we know as "Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County", or "The McPherson's Tapes".
And the reason you don't find this movie anywhere is because it was underrated and was never sent on DVD, it only exists in VHS.

I have heard that you can find the original in other countries, just not here. There are many families that go missing but our corrupt gov. hides it. With all the technology we have, why can't anyone find any originals of abductions? Our U.S. officials made a deal with the devil (exchange of humans for advanced technology) & it got out of control & nothing can be done! PEOPLE! do ur research & SAVE YOUR EVIdENCE!!! Damn, this IS the "original" version.
I clearly remember it from a Sightings showing, were debate was going on which version was real or if both were fakes (some guy firmly believed the director had done a fake -Incident at Lake Country- from real footage -this one or some other non-disclosed recording).
I remember seeing Incident at Lake Country and thinking "this is clearly that story, but footage is different, where's the father carrying the alien?".

This is a fake. I saw the real one in '97 and suddenly, soon after, our government banned this video in the U.S. The real one was about Thanksgiving, not a birthday. The real one was creepy as shit and gave me chills. It also showed 3 aliens grouped together sliding down an embankment from behind trees that lined the property. It also showed the rifles bent and "melted" on the front porch. This video is a joke. Rifles were bent & melted. The U.S. knows many people go missing & covers it

I have to say, if this is rehearsed, than this is the best acting I have ever seen for this type of movie. The Aliens in my opinion look fake, but the emotion and fear felt very real. Somebody please tell me, is this real or fake?!

I agree this is not the original, I saw the real one bac in 97. This is different a remake. The real one is creepy as shit. The real end was the son was the last one, and the alien was in his room when he walked I'm there and the alien closed the door behind the guy. The name of the tape was incident at lake county. Air on upn as a missing family tape.

The bad thing about the McPherson tape is how obviously rehearsed the whole thing is, i love the how it stars, teh power cuts and they go to check it out and come across an alien ship, it should have just ended there and they would have had a believable video on their hands, but instead they went the extra mile and ruined it. The most obvious part is the ended where he puts the camera down and it captures the alien beings walking in, thats just sooooo scripted

I think it's fake cause of the shotgun blast inside the house was fake, you would have herd a lot more of a boom, with debree. and the camera angled at the exact spot where the children in costumes walked in, it all seemed organized to me especially when the fist two walk in and the third one looks rite at the camera and walks towards it. good directing job. No one would bring in a dead alien into there house if they were that scared of them

I came across the original on Youtube a year or so ago!!!!! Then I tried looking for it and looking for it and never saw it again, just some cheesy remake!!!! THIS IS WEIRD, BECAUSE THERE EVEN SEEMS TO BE SOME CONFUSION FROM WIKIPEDIA! THEY STATE THAT BOTH VERSIONS WHERE DIRECTED BY THE SAME PERSON?? This is the original and is true it does not look scripted. If it is, they are doing some pretty good acting. the emotions seem very much real. The one thing that catches my eye is the length of the aliens arms. They are down to their knees. They mostly keep their arms straight which makes me suspecious ,only in two cases do I see one bend his arm a little.
