This year was the first time i went and stayed there for a week. no thunderstorms but there was a huge one the day we were supposed to leave. i love it there its beautiful and i visited johns pass everyday/ everything was just a walk away! the best was the cigar shop i love their cappecinos!!!!!! cant wait ot go back!!!
strange thing about this lightning is that is some frames it's right in front of the camera (not near the ocean or near the beach) but right in front of the camera. Was this really happening? Was the lightning 10-20 feet away? It sort of looks fake as a few have mentioned. If not it would be very interesting from a scientific point of view. Small electric bolts that weren't major strikes but were extrmely close to the camera. Never seen a lighting video quite like it.
my eyes were paying more attention at the bottom of the screen because what it looked like the lightning was directly in front of the camera by that i mean touching the video camera
I keep replaying this video...over and over and over. You absolutely picked the greatest background music. I was there. Nothing quite like experiencing a lightning storm over the Gulf waters. The winds pick up, the smell off the sea changes to a cool fresh water spray, the sounds... very cool nature.
Best time to see stuff like this is in the middle of summer in Florida. I love them every year and I live only 10 miles from this film's location. Enjoy the show. =D
