i bought this today, went to the range, adjusted it from 9 to 8 degrees, put the face on neutral and switched the heavy weight to the toe.... and my swing speed went from 128 mph to 135 mph..... and i hit it 381. Whoever works at taylor made that made this thing is a bloody genious.

@PUArtista There is a story of Nicklaus stepping up to the 18th at St. Andrews, taking off his sweater, and busting a 375 yarder to the back of the green....with a persimmon. But then again he was one of the longest of his time. Pros nowadays are definitely longer on average, thanks in a large part to technology.

I've been at the range and watched this dude 6 inches taller than me and 75 lbs heavier than me swinging for the fences with his new R11and it sounded like a rocket coming off the face, but the problem is the ball really wasn't going anywhere, i stepped up with my nike VR Tour driver and my ball was just peaking its highest as his was coming down, they sound decent but the faces are too soft in my opinion...

these videos are bullsh*t.. TaylorMade Sucks.. Adjusting the face angle and loft would not give him more ball speed he swung harder and harder as the video progressed you can see him struggling to stay balanced. i could make a video like this with any driver..

@pri27golfer My clubhead speed is 121 with my driver and have ball speeds up to 181 on the trackman, so do the math i have hit it that far. Taylormade is most likely going to get sued because that sole plate does not actually change the face angle, it makes the face angle APPEAR to be more open when you set the club on the ground. When you actually swing the club it is in the air and the face and has not actually changed position relative to the shaft...

@jag16 What do you expect - Taylormade are the biggest bullshitters of all golf equipment producers - and every year they achieve to fool all the people again... Give him an old R5 with a proper shaft and he hits it the same length - so go figure!

As far as these videos - they are all the same - Garcia, Kaymer (who even elect not to play the R11), Johnson - with every adjustment they go LONGER AND LONGER - what a coincidence...

Dude relax, ive had the R7 for a long time now, and im hitting it aprox: 250-270 yards?

we got a pro in the club where i play and he got the R11 driver, with a S grip. So he asked if i wanted to try it out, and ofc i wanted to try it!

i hitted aprox: 270-290 yards with it, so its easily 20 yards gain on it...
