I tried being a vegatarien ... I love animals and I honestly dislike the taste of meat, but I think I have to wait till I'm 18 because my parents get upset if I don't eat meat. One day though.
@Mus1cGurl best of luck to you!! in the meantime, you could check out a veg cookbook or look up some of the awesome veg recipe blogs online, and find some cooking ideas you will love. : ) start experimenting in the kitchen, try out different veg meals once in a while... like picking a day of the month or week to eat veg ... and when you make the transition it will be a snap! : ))
@Mus1cGurl you could tell your parents about all the benefits of reducing their meat consumption ... just cutting back on some meat, especially cow, reduces the greenhouse gases/global warming effect of your diet, and reduces your cancer and heart disease risk, etc! then maybe they would be open to having a veg meal once in a while.. : )
About the vegetarian thing, i see nothing wrong with eating animals that are already dead in the supermarket when you arrive, if you don't buy there will still be people that do and it's not like the meat industry depends on you buying meat, so it is actually more moral to eat the already dead animal than to leave it there to rot.

You're right -- I don't know how I got those years confused. I was a freshman in college when TQID was released. One of the best albums ever, and I saw the concert in Detroit. I'm sorry, though, I'll have to take your insult with a grain of salt. The "Morrissey is rubber, you're glue" line of argument falls short, and Morrissey would be disappointed.
I've watched a few subsequent interviews with Morrissey, and I understand why I was initially surprised by this one. I've been listening to the Smiths since just before the release of TQiD, but I have never heard Morrissey's voice outside of him singing and a TV interview a few years ago. I'd only read magazine interviews, so I didn't know he spoke so formally until I saw these clips. Having the chance to see more of his interviews on YouTube has lent some perspective that, frankly, was missing.
Well it is quite an old tape from the 80's, so yes it should ba a little bit discoloured. Great interview, moz has such a great answer for everything, love him. :)

i think he's confident in both. i think he's more formal in his earlier interviews, whereas he's much more casual in his recent ones.

Well it is quite an old tape from the 80's, so yes it should ba a little bit discoloured. Great interview, moz has such a great answer for everything, love him. :)

I believe that while many people may be fans of morrissey, and admire his music and his wit, he tends to come across a douche of a person sometimes.
The manner in which he speaks with is eloquent, but condescending at the same time.
It's disarming with kindness and sophistication.
