  • the Purple fruit is called TUNA we used to pick it and eat it "As Is" I love the yellow the best.

  • This is why Native Americans were in such good shape before the first settlers, Now on the rez all Native's are fatter than ever due to fermented food, to much booze, and to much high fructose corn syrup.

  • man i love prickly pears, whenever i go to mexico and visit family i stuff myself with them,

  • were can i locate a vinnela orchid plant to buy

  • Can we get a list of the stuff in the video?

  • If your ever on the eastern coast, try the berries of the Staghorn Sumac, (not poison sumac vine) and make pink lemonade. It's awesome. Tastes tart. I add honey. Just soak berries when ripe, and strain. Always be certain to identify any plant in the wild. Double check when learning. Queen Anne's Lace, and Water Hemlock resemble one another, enough so....many have died eating the Hemlock. Great video. Nice read is "Indian Giver's" about Native Foods.

  • When i'm cooking, I always love to limit myself to only American crops.

...and people always say American food is fast food. *sigh*

  • Yes they are South American vanilla pods.

  • What a beautiful song. It would be great to know any translation that might exist.

    Thanks for this!

  • Sorry I accidentally deleted the request for native music...there are many sites on the internet..the largest producer of native music is Canyon Records..also look in native casino gift shops they usually have a selection.

  • Well done! This is a video to watch over and over again. A must-see for every gardener, too. I always thought brambles were from Europe...

  • Absolutely great video, food, song and people. Timely, all when we consider the trillions of dollars spent on war in far away lands.

  • No doubt about it you are a genius, anaother great vid that i truly enjoyed watching, thanks for posting this, you inspire me to post something from my mexican homeland!

  • Thanks will try this

  • The artist is Joanne Shenandoah and the song is Tsyakow niyo "Her Words are Good" an Iroquois song.

  • Thanks you soo much for this video!! I think it would be ESPECIALLY really cool if you put up ingredients in a video that are organic to each region of the states.. Like what ingredients do they use specifically to the Indians living in the pacific northwest

  • I really loved it! The native foods, the music and how you put it all together is beautiful and carries a very special message to all who take the time to see.

    Thank you!
