iPad 2: iOS 5 Multitasking Gestures

With the iOS5 i learned you can do finger swiping to see which apps or games or websites are open. with Android there is a dedicated button to see your open windows. based on that which is technically better? and how do you close any open apps on the iPad 2?

@lynxman76ph I haven't used a decent Android system with multitasking so I'm not sure. To close out any open apps on the iPad 2, double tap the home button to bring up the multitasking tray (or use the swipe up gesture). Then tap and hold the icons in the tray and you can delete them out of the multitasking bar which effectively "closes" the apps.

Multigestures multitasking? can i surf the interweb, watch youtube, check the weather, watch movies all at the same time?

@lynxman76ph Not necessarily. You can surf the internet, while have a webpage saved in the background and a weather app in the background, but you can't view them all at once. The multitasking you are talking about can really only be done on a full computer. It would be pretty awesome if you could do all of those at the exact same time, but there's just not enough screen space and/or power in the iPad 2.

@lynxman76ph Nope, if you have multigestures enabled all you need to do is take four fingers and swipe up on the screen.

@papeach1 Yep. Skype can use the front facing camera to video chat with other Skype users. Skype is also free. (Which is nice haha)

@nautbijker Saw that on the release notes! I would make a video about the new featuers....except I don't have a first gen iPad. haha. But glad to hear that early iPad adopters get to use multitasking gestures! I use them all the time, they are extremely handy.
