Oh my God, I MUST have sheet music for both parts. Me and my friend are both OBSESSED with this song and Solo and Ensemble is coming up soon in our band class, so we REALLY want to do this song. Could you please tell me how you learned this/where you found sheet music? And if it was by ear, could you please tell me the notes? Thank you SO SO SO much~!! Love this cover~!! <3
@GingerTheArcanine123 Just put up the sheet music in the description :) I transcribed the clarinet part myself, and I think the girl who played flute did it by ear. The two parts are almost the exact same though, so if you want the flute part, just transpose the clarinet part one line down to the key of D (B minor), and read it an octave up. Only, whenever the clarinet has melody, the flautist would read the harmony parts. And vice versa. Have fun!
wow what a hater, u know what i'm just giunna like this videoa bunch of times, because the duet you did with the saxophone inspired my friend (a clarinet) and i (a saxophone) to learn this by ear so TAKE THAT HATER!!
I don't get it... I DON'T GET IT!! WHY ARE THERE SO MANY DISLIKES? No seriously, this is the most dislikes I've seen on any vocaloid video, let alone such an awesome one!!
@theonewhocomments Thanks, but haters gonna hate. And by "haters", I mean one particular person who got pissed over the smallest thing, and also happens to have 30 accounts
I really like it =) as for the tuning. it's always hard to tune a clarinet to fit other instruments... especially if you play in a symphonic orchestra (they tune at a frequenty of 441 while most clarinets are tuned in 445 so you like always have to elongate the clarinet ... making the resistance a bit higher and the sound lower) but a clarinet will still have like notes wich when the clarinet is tuned perfectly will still need intonation to get it right (like Bflat and Eflat) >continued nxt post
and also when you go into the higher register. but i liked the tuning very much and even though some notes where like a bit off (i think it's the Eflat in the lower register. atleast if it's the base note of the refrain. my absolute hearing isn't that good ^^") but nevertheless it sounded great!
@heyaanimerocksheya Thank you for the comment =). You sure do know your clarinets :P. Indeed they're designed to be sharp so that the tuning can be fixed without much of a hassle by pulling out the joints a little. Whereas if they were designed to be in tune in the first, then on a colder day it will be very difficult to raise the pitch to be in tune. The tuning in this one's better than usual cause I pulled out all the joints a bit, rather than only the barrel like I used to do ^__^
@linnaes it's always better to pull every joint. it will indeed affect the overal tuning in all registers =) the bottom space F is known to also be out of tune. the Buffet Crampon Tosca Clarinet even has an extra valve (not sure if it's the right word ^^") to make it sound more in tune =) F#. i learned a trick for it. WHENEVER YOU CAN; just overblow a high Bb and the resulting altissimo F# will sound better. =)
@linnaes (continuation of last post) the altissimo notes are the veyr hardest to get in tune. they almost always sound to low. and you have to always keep a very constant airflow going to reach them comfotably enough to go around and try to play them better. As for the video part ... well... i'm pretty modest ^^" + i don't have a very good recording rig. i do have Audacity. but my only microphone is the one in my webcam ^^"
@heyaanimerocksheya ...you wouldn't happen to have a Tosca by any chance would you XD? I'd love to get me one of those, but the price is quite a bit too high (not to mention my current clarinet's less than a month old lol). I always thought the correction key was for low F, though maybe not? Does overblowing actually make it in tune lol? But I dunno, I'd rather not voice overtones...seems like a disaster waiting to happen :P. I think I'll just practice alternate fingerings for the tuning haha
@heyaanimerocksheya The tuning of altissimo notes on my clarinet's actually very good, apart from those two notes). But I'm just pretty bad at playing them ^__^; Trying to play Rossini Introduction, Theme and Variations and I always get freaking pwned by the last variation >.<
lol my rig isn't much to brag about either, I got a damn $20 mic from a yard sale probably 8 years back, and it sounds alright =/. Although, it's a good thing you're staying away from webcam mics lulz XD
@linnaes hmm you play better then me. and i've already followed 7 years of music academy =) what is your origine actually ? since your English is very very good =)
@heyaanimerocksheya I guess in the end it comes down to voicing--you gotta know your clarinet well enough to adjust the tuning of each and every note =/. I'm not sure if my Eb is out of tune, but my worst notes are bottom space F, 4th line D and altissimo F# and G# (good thing the last one isn't used very much XD). And thanks again, pleased to hear you enjoyed it :D
PS you should put up videos yourself, you sound like a seasoned enough player haha =)
@0ninjaofthedarkness0 lol yeah, to get it right I needed to crank the volume way up on my headphones so I could hear exactly how the rhythm went >.<. And because of that I think you could even hear the singing in some areas XD. Thank you! :3
@GriseLovesRoses Oh yeah lol, forgot about that. If you do manage to finish it, it'll probably be the most amazing woodwind Vocaloid duet done outside of Japan XD! Actually if you're playing sax too, then trio ;D
@GriseLovesRoses Hmm yeah it would, but I think it would be notoriously difficult to play in this one. I mean, just playing the damn thing is hard enough lol.
If something's wrong with my part in the mixing, shoot me a message, I'll have another one recorded ASAP =)

@GingerTheArcanine123 I'd say that once you get the hang of the rhythms, the rest isn't all that bad. Counting's the hard part :P
