  • kaa the snake in the future

  • kaa in the future

  • 3:03 to 3:07

  • Thumbs up if you think he has Histrionic Personality Disorder with the defense mechanism of Regression.

  • 4:25 Rosebud.

  • Ooh De Lally!!!

  • Stop playing with your snake and do something social, John.

  • Next time try to explore interpretations of greek mythology by Disney, it'll be fun^^

  • @MsCaptainKid

excellent idea, thanks for the suggestion

  • John was the more ignored, disregarded kid in the family, hence him sending away his older brother out of spite. Correct?

  • Good fucking Quality!!

  • "It was your idea to send him on that crazy crusade"

Hahaha, that part gets me everyt time. Ustinov is one of the greatest actors ever spawned by humankind.

  • wht does Robin Hood and the litte rabbit say to prince john near the end? all i could make out was OOh De Lally! Ohh De Lally!

  • @ADHD555Wolfy2 They say "A pox on the phony King of England! Ooh De Lally!" :)

  • wht does Robin Hood and the litte rabbit say to prince john near the end? all i could make out was OOh De Lally! Ohh De Lally!

  • and if john is a male lion y doesnt he have a main on the sidesof his head?

  • john is a selfish and greedy lion.also sir hiss has hypnotism powers like kaa in the jungle book

  • God save king Richard III!!!

  • AAh ha, AAAH ha.

  • I wonder if this is how the IRS acts come time to collect taxes.

  • love the Parade part

  • If John is a male lion, why doesn't he have a mane? It's something that's always bothered me.

  • @silentpinecone

Despite being the younger than his sibling I would interpret it as a sign of his vast immaturity.

  • @silentpinecone He obviusly shaved it.

  • @silentpinecone Because Prince John was a wuss and a pretender to the throne! Only badass alpha male lions grow the mane. I think King Richard comes back at the end and he's got the full mane thing goin' on.

  • Anyone else notice Prince John doesn't have a mane? O.o

  • AH HA! AH HA!

  • This is one of those movies that would have worked better with live action rather than cartoon. It would have been better to see Peter Ustinov play that role in person. Imagine him sucking his thumb...LOL.

  • "Mother always did like Richard Best!" says Prince John. But that's not true!

  • Thumbs up if you think Prince John is Bipolar.

  • 2:08 - divine :D:D:D

  • it's funny going back to these films and seeing things i never knew. I remember watching robin hood as a 4 year old. and onely a couple years back i found out about king richard the lionheart and the crusades and even king richards brother john. it's funny going back to these cartoons i havn't seen in over a decade and see them mention things i knew for onely a little over a year.

  • Sir Peter Ustinov did such a good job voicing Prince John - Epic!!

He also did the German version. Both versions are fabulously done!

  • 'now look here, one more hiss out of you..errhheerrre..hiss..' HAHA

  • i have this movie and love it. gr8 video

  • I love it that John got same voice actor in german :D

  • Peter Ustinov was hilarious as Prince John.

  • This is better animation than Dora The Explorer and was made decades before.

  • Rofl 3:05 'Aha , Aha' XD

  • @PrincessMokoto hahaha this is why i watched this

  • Prince John in this movie was such a big baby who sucks his thumb and demands money out of greed.

  • can anybody tell me the title of the marching tune that is played at 56-1:46 please and thank you love that tune very powerful sounding

  • @BeistMowde i agree

  • useless without the swedish voice xD

  • obama! :P

(sorry, but i can just picture him going "I am king! KIIING KING!!!"

    ...sorry... just made me giggle

  • Hm...when I was a kid I used to think John had it in for Marian...at this rate...I guess hes after someone else....

  • At some, very, very brief moments of dialog, Prince John sounds a little like Scar from Lion King. Or perhaps that should be the other way around :P.

It would fit well with the shared theme of a lion usurping the throne of his brother.

  • XD "If you don't mind my saying so, you have a very loud thumb." Prince John is hysterical.

  • Classic :-D

  • If you watch a film called "The Lion in Winter" you'll see a somewhat similar, teenage version of John.

And get a good sense of where his sulkiness and resentment come from.

  • This vid makes me happy. I'm with you StrongGlad999 :D his epic laugh makes me laugh!!!

  • We watched this in our history lesson...

    Hi miss Wright =D

Anyway that was kinda all i wanted to do (:

  • i like the part when Hiss yells 'Hes gone stark raving mad'.

as with the douglas fairbanks version this depicts John being outcast when Richard returns.

but the probleam with that is when richard died in battle John becomes king.

which some Robin Hood movies/tv shows etc seem to often forget.

with the exceptoin of the Sean Connery movie Robin and Marian.

  • you have no idea how manyn times i have watched this hahahahaha

    QUOTE IT ALL THE TIME

    LOVE YOUR BIGGEST FAN

  • old school disney at its best - FACT!

    That bit sounds so brilliant!

  • I really want to use this fantastic video for a lesson with my Year 7s, but our school blocks YouTube. Does anyone have any ideas how I coudl get round this?

  • You download it from another computer. For example your home PC/laptop. Then copy/past to a memory stick and stick memory stick into your school computer and hey presto, copy it to your documents. Hope this helps.

  • now thats cool =)

  • mother always did like richard best

  • POWER xD

  • I have been able to use your video to great effect with my lovely year 7's; they thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for your generosity in sharing it with others like myself who are not so talented and have not got a clue how to put together a video like this. Brilliant!!!!

  • pssst. don't tell anyone... i often feel more like john than richard. :(

  • Prince John had the best laugh ever ... "A-ha! A-HA!" XD

  • The new US President...

  • Amazing how at 4:02 it looks like Hiss actually has arms!

  • Marie Antoinette!! this is the 12th Century not the 18th Century - shame on you and your History teacher :)

  • @Foxburg In fact, it's the 13th Century (John reigned from 1199 to 1216) ;-)

  • So, Prince John's mother must be Marie Antoinette, if Richard the Lionhearted is whom Prince John is reffering to.

  • No, I think it's referring to Eleanor of Aquitaine.

  • Well done! my faith in history Teachers is restored.

  • Prince John has got to be the most brilliant villain that ever there was.

"HISS! YOU'RE NEVER AROUND WHEN I NEED YOU!"

Thanks a million for rigging this up.

  • power! power! ha ha ha power. LOL dead on sweetmerciful!.

  • Help he's going raving mad(echoing)! Part were Prince John tries to whack Sir Hiss. LOL so funny.

  • "this crown gives me a feelin of POWER! POWER! forgive me a cruel chuckle hahahah Power erm......" - classic film god bless sir peter ustinov

i love this scene and song just old school disney, u dont get this kind of greatness no more these days :(

  • Forgive me a cruel chuckle... Power

  • If Rik Mayall ever played a furry character, I'm inclined to say that he would fit nicely as Prince John here.

  • i love this scene and song just old school disney, u dont get this kind of greatness no more these days :(

  • I love prince John, he was animated superbly.

  • All I know is that King John was a tyrant to the barons and the clergy. In those days you could be a tyrant towards anyone you wanted, except those two groups. And after the Magna Carta, well, the peasants still suffered, but the barons and the clergy had something we might refer to as rights.

  • One of my all time favourite disney movies thank you for posting it.

  • One of my all time favourite disney movies thank you for posting it.

  • i love how the king points his ears out to make the crown fit

  • RIP Prince John

  • RIP Peter Ustinov!
