Panpan was unfortunate and had to deal with many injuries after 2006. That made her just the alternate at Worlds07 and in 08 she was in an even worse condition because of her injuries,therefore she would have only been really useful for the Olympic team on UB, but since they already had HKX,YYL & JYY, PPP was no real contender anymore. Afterwards, she never regained her former level, was sent back to her provincial team in 09 and retired soon after that.

I think the most amazing thing about this gymnast is that she only started gymnastics when she was 8 and to be a contributor to the 2006 Chinese team that won - just 8 years later is amazing.
