@tosgem in a quarter mile the QH IS THE FASTEST. TB's are distant runners. They don't stand a chance up against a QH in the quarter mile race. Read up on QH's more.

@cwwoodchuck The American Quarter Horse can and does everything. Just like any other breed there are good ones/ bad ones. Mostly depends on how started & finished. Want a horse that can barrel race at night get you in the money, work cattle the next morning, ride for hours in the wilderness, has a great mind...I'll take an AQH everytime!

@cwwoodchuck Quarter horses are very versitle in just about every disipline. You must have had a bad expierence on one to claim they suck on trial rides. I have owned QH's all my life and NOT 1 was shitty on the trail. Other horses that were on the trail with me were having fits cause they COULDN'T handle what was handed to them. It is all in the training.

@tosgem yes they would. arabs can go to on average 30mph. quarter horses, of all shapes and sizes can do about 50mph. it would depend on the lengh of the race. arabs are quite slow, but better at long distance. quarter horses are VERY fast but are quite bad at distances.
