No it was Jesse Leach, who used to be the singer of KSE before Howard, Jesse is the one who wrote some of the songs on End of the Heartache, and he had already done some vocal work in the studio before leaving the band, what you're hearing here is that vocal work. Jesse can also be heard on Irreversal (which Jesse wrote in its entirety), on the same album.
