  • It seems that a few commenters seem to have confused Indycar and Formula 1. n00bs

  • Awsome video, great music choice!

  • Excellent work, I'm on #6.

  • no fatal crashes? it's hard to believe...

  • Great Indy Comp. - you have all the classics in there.....

  • Why is it that, in nearly every Formula-1 crash I see, the car(s) basically disintegrates, flying apart in a thousand pieces to a degree rarely seen in NHRA or NASCAR?

  • @DKN117 Best option in any crash is to have parts of the car come away from the main driver pod. Every piece of debris that flys away from the car takes some of the energy of the crash with it.

Considering the minimum weight for a F-1 car is only 640 Kg (including Driver) The materials used are far more fragile than in NASCAR, the V8 Super cars ect.

  • 2:53

F1 cars are designed with maximum down force and minimal ground clearance to allow for extreme speeds. However, down force only applies when the car is moving forward...what you see is the combination of the opposite due to the crash. Good vid.

  • @IthrowdownI Ok but, thats not a F1 car thats an Indy car.

  • @wes3tomcat Thanks for catching that, but it doesn't change the explanation- The two words are interchangeable. However, it is observable that debris may have wedged underneath the car, so the cause for the rapid ascent may-be/ is a blend of the two.

  • @IthrowdownI Yea your right I get what your saying, no disrespect or nothing.

  • i agree at 2:53 that was the weirdest crash i have seen too, i've gone back several times and still don't know what picked that car off the ground so quick like that

  • @1983tmb the rear tire got dragged under the car and the air lifted the car in the air, remember hes still going really fast.

  • Who is at 2:53

  • @jacob1234f I believe that is Jim Crawford. It's been a long time.

  • 2:53-3:00 thats the oddest crash I've ever seen.

  • mike conways crash should b on there

  • @03F5man this video was made before that crash happened

  • 1:50 wow!

  • I don't get how the people at 0:28, 1:19, 1:49, 2:17, 3:15, 3:19 and 3:25 survived those crashes!

  • 1:27 spin and win Danny Sullivan

  • 1:27 spin and win danny sullivan

  • @jdf0919 i think 50% of them died...

    Especially the last one

  • @furble8 Read the description you moron. It says no fatal crashes are included.

  • @jdf0919 Everyone survived, no fatal crashes in the video.

  • I like men now.

  • one thing about the F1 racing crashes is TIRES EVERYWHERE.

  • How the heck did the guy at 2:54 get airborne, looking like he just hopped in the air?

  • @WDRiddle1 the air/ wind caught he from under ther the car so he went like a kite

  • @codmetoo Oh, alright, I see. Thanks for explaining.

  • There is no Crash Carnage #5 :((

  • F1 Racing looks really dangerous!! :O

Cars are blown to pieces going 180 mph, and there are no roof flaps!!

  • @209mc

there were no F1 videos in this compeliation the open wheel ones you saw here were Indy and CART series

  • great video dude

  • Great video!

  • THIS IS WHAT HUMAN DOES, and thats why we are perfeckt, why does we drive so fast, Cuz we can! why do we risk life on this Cuz we can!

  • Why on earth did Mike Mosley at 0:40 decide to climb out of his car when it is MOVING TOWARDS THE WALL.

  • @Mclarenboy100 idk maybe he was on fire.

  • you should put a notice on the clips that are fatal so people can look away if need be..

  • Dude, the intro was wicked! ABC couldn't think of any other way to begin the 500.

  • Great vid! Thanks for itemizing the crashes. @ 2:55 it's amazing the way the car looked like it was picked up out of nowhere and put back down!!

  • @CliftonPhotographer Annnnnnnnnd up we go!

  • what year is that on mark 1:01 n who drives it? thanks

  • @TeamAutoBots oh f **k how in the hell did he survive this?

  • @TeamAutoBots he propley retired that year

  • @TeamAutoBots 1989 ....kevin cogan

  • @TeamAutoBots Kevin Cogan @ 1989 Indy 500; he walked away from this crash

  • who is that at 0:46

  • @DezTheBeastBryant88 tom sneva

  • @DezTheBeastBryant88 Tom Sneva @ 1975 Indy 500; he suffered burns to his abdomen; he was back racing 6 months later

  • 0:41 Mike Mosely is upset about crashing so he has an uber fap to cheep himself up :)

  • 1:31 Lost A Position But Great Recovery

  • 2:23 Ouch. Not fatal? This is probably why they invented the crash-proof pod system in all open wheelers...

  • @Infidel433 Danny Ongais; not fatal; he had a badly broken leg and was racing the next season.

  • @Infidel433 not fatal. it was danny ongais in 1981.

  • @Infidel433
