i really am looking foreward to the news of this opening . i really realy dont understand the engineering problems. there were lots of these rides and they were around til the late 60's i dont doubt for one second the skills of the team working on it .. i'm wondering what powers that be are making it so hard on them
The coaster is still not finished , and in fact some of it has been taken apart to be redesigned to fix some of the original problems that were holding up the opening of the coaster. Providing the changes work it looks like the coaster could be ready by mid summer, i hope.
I was there on that same exact day. "july 26" and i saw the cars moving. getting exicted thinking after 3 YEARS the thing would be finished I quickly found that it wouldn't. At hershey they built farienhiet in less than a year. It is crazy.
This ride is a kind that has been extinct for decades, mainly due to safety reasons. Knoebels is working out all the kinks that made parks get ride of this way back when. They also want the ride to be family friendly, not overly intense. Fahrenheit, on the other hand, is a modern ride similar to some already existing.
Hershey had Fahrenheit done so quick because its just a compact steel coaster. The ordered the whole ride and it was built and wah-la. Knoebels is doing this all by themselves, so they may take longer, but at least its not being just thrown in over a classic like that stupid water park was over the river rapids.

@GRMU99 Probably, since it's being moved from Wildwood, NJ, and I've seen it, and it looks just about ready to be put up and riden.

I went there this year and I really wanted to ride it, it looked finished but it wasnt. its never goin to open. they should of kept whirlwind.
