I managed to go deep into the interwebs and found myself instructions and files for xbox linux, now from what I understand NO MODDING is required? Because I have a method of FTP'-ing my xbox to copy files over, I can't test it myself atm so I need an awnswer

linux isnt hard to get, all u need is some way to get it from your computer to your xbox and the first splinter cell ever made. i used to do it, to mod halo 2.

Buy more ddr ram for the system and look online if for help putting in if you like playing psx/n64 emulators. You can upgrade the ram to 128MBs

if its running linux then if you plug in a pc wi fi card and plug it into the network with an eternet cable then linux will download the drivers for your wifi nfor you? then you can go on the web wirelessley, if you set it to a shared network and plug the ethernet into both xbox and xbox 360 it will let you go on live? if anyones done this give it a go :P

yep there is something called a "Xtender v2". IT allows you to keep the original harddrive and allows you to addon 2 IDE-drives. I believe it cost just around 30$

Linux is a free operating system, where EVERY program for it is FREE and avaliable to download, unlike windows which costs. Ubuntu for your PC or Mac would be an easy way to start, but it takes a good bit of computer skill to operate

you can´t buy a linux cd... you must download it.

you have to download the linux files for you xbox and install them manually, i think through FTP.

but if you want linux on just a normal computer or laptop, buy the CD at a best buy and you could get like ubuntu, but WAY cheaper just downloading it it's legal, free (as all linux things are intended to be), and not hard to install at ALL
