Brundle was having a hard time explaing this, he only just realised what it would take to win a GP. All it takes, Martin, is some balls and some Finnish craftmanship...
@GalaxyPowerTy Why do I see you dissing Raikkonen at every video.....First of all Fisi is just so much worse driver than Kimi....didnt you hear what they said? Fisi went just WAY over deffensive at the chicane. And if you didnt happen to know Mclaren in 2005 was CLEARLY the fastest car on the track....in this race Kimi got from 17th place to 1st, so did all the other drivers have some problems in their cars as well?....
@GalaxyPowerTy well did Fisi have a problem as well at Belgium 2009?
The only problem that Fisi had was self inflicted, he went way too defensive when he really shouldn't have. This in turn affected his exit speed and you know what happened next.
17th position to victory at the era before kers and adjustable wings, at suzukas pretty thight track (not the easiest to overtake) this is stunning job. He did overtakes in that one race as much as some drivers do in a season - with the rearwing adjusting. Kimi has said that the rear wing changing takes the skill away and I think they really should take it away and put so big engines to the cars that accelerating would actually take skill without driving assists :p
@dreamcast98 Fuck? Who is going to replace him on the BBC? I hate Coulthard, he bores me to death when he babbles on about tyre choice and pit stop strategy.
@AyrtonSennaFan97 No doubt Sky offered him lots of money. Ben Edwards replaces Martin. Can't afford to get Sky myself, and it's disappointing BBC won't have the last half of the season live
@dreamcast98 I hope that Martin is the analyst instead of the main commentator cause he got on my nerves last season and asked stupid questions he knew the answer to.
@AyrtonSennaFan97 Because DC know's how to win a race with tyre choices and and pit strategy unlike Brundle who never won in F1 in fact only stood on the podium 9 times in 12 years.
@tamkukushka Right, it would have simply got Nelson Piquet Jr. to drive around the circuit backwards in a Tank and run over all the competition, the donkey would then proceed to pass the crushed wrekages of the other cars and win the race. Incredible!
@tamkukushka It WAS a brilliant move you fool. For starters, he was only around a second or so quicker at that point in the race. Back then with high downforce, a mere 1 second advantage was hard to overcome, but Raikkonen did, around the outside into a very fast right hander. I guess Alonso going round the outside of Schumi at 130R earlier in the race was nothing special either. To claim this "barely even qualifies as a "move" is pure ignorance.
@RedDan1990 I'm sure the BBC or sky would get Murray Walker back if they could, but sadly he's a very old man now and probably couldn't manage travelling the world all year for all 20 races. I wish he'd at least commentate on some races on the European leg though in near countries like the UK (obviously), Spain, Monaco, Belgium, Germany etc...
thats what i miss, james allen going ballistic everytime there isanvertake, its not the same as david coulthard he never gets excited and the commentary would put you asleep now a day
@cfcnlr two things, one James Allen was infamously biased towards Raikkonen and then Hamilton and two, David Coulthard is co-commentator, he's paid to analyze the race not to describe the action
@64Fabby im just saying the commentary during f1 races are unbelievebly boring now, with coulthard having wee snipes at almost everything martin brundle says with his boring voice. bring back james allen!
everyone else has their own opinion, personally I think this is the best commentary team we've had in years, martin's been itching for the main commentating job in ages, it's a long time since he was in an F1 car while DC still knows most the modern F1 technology and provides a thorough, detailed analysis over the finer things in f1, better than when mister bloody legard was commentating anyway
truth be told i wanted ben edwards to come to the Beeb and do main F1 commentary with DC resuming his role as pundit but after hearing the commentary of Brundle and Coulthard I think it's a great partnership. Each to their own though I guess :)
although Allen wasnt the best commentator around it was good with the enthusiasm he brought, cant really see Coulthard shouting and screaming like this
Another Thief but smart thinking there you mirrored my vid so that it goes back to its original view and you just zoomed in the reason i couldnt zoom in was because i've just got this new video editor software a couple of days and the time i uploaded this was when i didnt have the software
the first time i saw a video with such a low quality but so many likes. it's because of the brilliant overtake by kimi.

My favorite line: "Grand prix racing at its absolute finest."
I've never seen a driver who's drives more flat-out than Kimi. He seem to wring every gram of speed out of the car.

If this happened today, the stewards would be all over Fisichella for making 4 changes of direction down the straight...
Great move, and great racing by both, shame DRS would deprive us of such a move today.

@64Fabby The thing is, everything DC says, Brundle could do so too, but probably better, and indeed does in some cases.
An enthusiastic commentator is useful for atracting new fans and pure entertainment.
Todays team is good, but Allen's enthusiasm combined with Brundles knowlage made for my personal favourite commentary pair.
And to be fair, ITV as a whole were Hamilton centric, and probably instructed Allen to be so, as he is not like that on his website.
