@styrossss11 Well you also have to think about the record label. I remember reading the label wanted her to put another song or two on this album however she didn't want it. IMO that sounded as if common ground was needed to decide on singles.

Also if she tried to sing this song in the United States to promote it, censors would royally butcher it with it's beeps especially with the "when the morning comes" part. She couldn't even sing "Makes my cherry pop" from Candyman on GMA,etc.

I've never at any point been a Christina fan; I think she's incredibly talented, I've just never been into her music besides a handful. But for me, I enjoy Jill Scott, Maxwell, and others; and I don't feel they've done anything to add a stigma to the "genre," besides be themselves and make great music. I listen to both the unknown and known, and enjoy all of them. I've never been one to listen to "underground" artists for the sake of going against the grain. I'll listen to anything if I like it.
