...Is anyone else bothered by the mix on this song? Because the kick drums are distorted and blocking out everything, the vocals are too quiet (especially under the kick drums) the guitars sound thin, and the bass is non-existant. There also seems to be a lot of compression clipping. A shame, the song itself is fucking great.

@TheHeadhunterProject Given the album version a go, and while it's more subtle, it's still there. Listen to how in the intro the bit with the lone guitar is as loud, volume-wise, as the bits where the whole band is playing. That's because the song has been overcompressed. A load of of other times, you can hear it too. There's even distortion around the edges of the drum track (this kind of compression is a less extreme form of how they distort a guitar). I think it's just a badly mixed album.
