@nckbsmth nope, not tipsy at all. we purposefully built up our JK to be as low as possible while running nice big wide tires. the evo tuned king shocks are cadillac smooth and if you can afford to go this route, i would.

@iconhelmets technically, no, you can get flagged regardless if your dealership installs the lift but, the reality of the matter is that it really depends on your dealership.

@flogz23 in all fairness, 2 flats isn't exactly what i would consider to be a break. the drive shaft and u-joint were caused by the same driver and he was just a bit too heavy on the gas. as far as the track bar mount goes, when you play hard enough, things break.
this is sick! i give you guys mad props for this. i have a 88 pathfinder. stock with 31" bf's so im really limited to what i can do off road but ive gotten myself where my rear tires were 4 feet in the air going down hill. i know how that goes. sick jeeps!
@jeepxjjj Alot of people run uni directional tires backwards on the front or rear for the purpose of traction in reverse. Remember there designed to run one way (uni directional) which doesnt give much traction in reverse! So flip a set and now uve got traction in drive and reverse.

@vicisti if you can afford it, 37's will make things easier for you but, depending on what kind of jeep you have and what kind of axles, you may find that it's a lot more expensive to run 37's as it will require a lot more modifications.

Are you guys running open diffs? Looks like fun. I doubt my Niva could do it. I got 13" inches of clearence to the bottom of the diff, and a super low range. A Standard trans, and 82 glorious russian Hp. (125 torx) Running 30" tires Dynaco Dynapro Mt's. I'd sure like to try it though.

@errenthovsep stock, no, it's not true. if you lift your jeep and install bigger tires, you need to remember to downshift your transmission when climbing long steep grades. if you don't, you can overheat the automatic transmission. a lot of people just try to remember to downshift or install aftermarket transmission coolers. when you build up your jeep, there are things you just need to upgrade.
I have a couple questions? Have you ever done the Rubicon Trail? What are the names of the slanted softops? Do you guys have like 33" mud tires and around 4" lift kits?

@truckntractorhick not exactly his fault. the first time around, his sidewall caught the sway bar disconnect storage pin and blew. the 2nd time, he ran over a bolt that someone left on the trail.
I'm looking into a new 2010 rubicon whats the rough cost of the 4" full traction lifts..? and will i need to extend the drivelines from the transfer case or to the rear axle with a 4" lift to prevent binding..?
you're looking at about $2100 for the 4" ultimate lift. if you get a 2-door, you will need to get a new u-joint style rear shaft as the angles on the factory shaft will be too steep can cause the cv joints to fail prematurely. if you get an auto, you will need to replace the front shaft as well. if you get a 6-speed, you should be able to run the front shaft for a while.

@errenthovsep stock, no, it's not true. if you lift your jeep and install bigger tires, you need to remember to downshift your transmission when climbing long steep grades. if you don't, you can overheat the automatic transmission. a lot of people just try to remember to downshift or install aftermarket transmission coolers. when you build up your jeep, there are things you just need to upgrade.

I have a couple questions? Have you ever done the Rubicon Trail? What are the names of the slanted softops? Do you guys have like 33" mud tires and around 4" lift kits?

@DanielBan1997 yes, many times. regarding the top, it's a bestop trektop. as far as tires goes, some were 33's but some were on 37's and 40's.

I'm looking into a new 2010 rubicon whats the rough cost of the 4" full traction lifts..? and will i need to extend the drivelines from the transfer case or to the rear axle with a 4" lift to prevent binding..?

you're looking at about $2100 for the 4" ultimate lift. if you get a 2-door, you will need to get a new u-joint style rear shaft as the angles on the factory shaft will be too steep can cause the cv joints to fail prematurely. if you get an auto, you will need to replace the front shaft as well. if you get a 6-speed, you should be able to run the front shaft for a while.
