  • suck sound drive

  • Beautiful guitar!!!

  • JESUS CHRIST!

The video was cool and all until you fired up all that shit at 3:00

what the fuck was that? What the heck are you using?? It's just too much fucking gain, it sounds like farts to me... Anyways, the amp is good... But the settings on it really are horrible.

  • 0:49 hhhhehehehemmm

  • sounds bad

  • horrible sound. This not sound as a Strato.

  • @krank2910 Agreed. Doesn't sound like a strat at all. The pick-ups are great, I've heard them on different strats but the amp settings are horrifying. Even if you're playing metal that last ultra gain sound was horrible. Too much gain, excessive lows and highs and absolutely no mids = no definition

  • Those pickups are humbuckers right?

  • @iboughtit Yes, they have 2 rails or whatever and they work as a humbucker would, I'm pretty sure anyway.

  • My guitar looks like this one !

But mine is a "25th anniversary", made in 1979 ... With mapple neck too !

  • @SweeetPicker AWESOME! I have a 1979 strat as well! Mine is a slightly translucent RED, HARDTAIL with a maple neck. I LOVE IT!

  • @slangdoll Good : ) ... BTW, have fun ; )

  • @slangdoll I Have a 79 HARDTAIL as wel but it has a rosewood fingerboard ^^

  • @superiansuper Rosewood is nice... gotta love Strats!

  • @SweeetPicker AWESOME! I've got one too and I've been looking to replace the pickups, or just the bridge pickup, because I don't like the distortion on it... Could you recommend something? If you would, please do. I don't wanna sell this thing, it's really an aweome guitar.

  • @LakicGuitar Hey !

    You're right : Don't sell your guitar : )

I have this guitar from my father, and he put some Dimarzio "Super distortion" (bridge pick up). The pick up are good ... Very good. Good for heavy metal, or jazz ! It's funny but it's true. They are very polyvalent ! Theses pick ups are very good but i don't think it was a good idea to change it ... The 25th anniversary is rare, it's a vintage guitar ! If you want a more powerfull sound, i think it's better to buy an other guitare !

  • what pickups do you prefer for an early Smashing Pumpkins sound. I love Billy's tone during Gish, Siamese Dream, and Mellon Collie. Seeing as i like that sound, am i better off with the lace sensors? or do you think the Dimarzios are better?

  • @queerp I have a 1979 Fender Strat and it sounds AMAZING! Corgan used straight pole late 70's strat pickups for Gish and went to Lace for Siamese Dream. Lace Sensor pick-ups are your best bet in my opinion. Blue (n), Silver (m), Red (b). Remember, you still need to find the right amp head and cab to completely pull the sound off but the right pickups in your guitar is a great start.

  • DiMarzio Billy Corgain BC-1 & BC-2, DiMarzio Chopper,.

Which one of these would you recomend me for stuff like Nirvana/Foo Fighters/Queens of the Stone Age/Killing Joke/punky,`grunge 2 BRIDGE?

I also want to have huge feedback and not to get too dirty with it @ high distortions.Want this warm-hot sound, fireplace comfy BUT with really agrresive attitude.Which one for bridge is the most suitable for me

  • @Eldererr for the bridge i would lean towards a super 3 for that cool grunge sound. it gets good feedback aswell

  • really nice guitar

    nice colour

    but i love your cat!!!

    he stole the video!

  • Can u say FLAMIN'

  • I think those pickups could have way more potential in the hands of someone who can actually get good tones

  • oh yeahh a batcaster

  • Wow, that looks and sounds pretty stunning man :D Are all 3 pickups wired in hum-canceling mode?

  • @MegashadX yes, these are humbuckers and functioning as such... just single sized.

  • i hate the pickups, . . .but i LOVE your Cat!

  • Are you a SP fan? I noticed the bat stickers on the pickguard, reminded me of Billy's strat from the Siamese Dream/Mellon Collie era. Ironically, your inca silver/black configuration w/ dimarzio pickups and maple neck are what he's been using to play As Rome Burns.

  • @SirTophammHat I am a huge SP fan, haha. I actually have BC custom Dimarzio pickups in this strat now and it sounds amazing! I bought this guitar in 1997 and I have noticed recently Billy plays a guitar just like it on stage right now. Very cool!

  • Hey man, very cool...I have a 97' American Strat in Inca Silver Finish myself ;) I'm in the process of customizing it. I've changed the white pickgaurd to pearloid, and I want to change the knobs and pickup covers to aged white.

I wanted to ask if you've had any experience with noiseless pickups on strats? Do they sound good or are they just good for eliminating noise? Basically I want a good pair of pickups where i can replace the standard white cover with aged white...any suggestions? ideas?

  • @Slimsaidi This guitar has Hum-Canceling pickups in it, essentially they are humbuckers in a single coil size. The distortion sound I get with my DiMarzios is the best I've ever heard but of course, the amp plays a large part in that too. So, YES, the noiseless design sound amazing BUT so do the standard single coils, just a matter of what you like more. You could just get vintage white looking pickup replacement covers, the pickups that came with your Strat are awesome!

  • @Slimsaidi I only replaced my pickups because I have a few Strats and I wanted to change the sound so they were more different from each other.

  • @slangdoll Thanks for the response. Yeah I like the pickups I have right now, they're just really noisy though, ha! Another question, I've heard that Fender doesn't make strats in this finish anymore (inca silver)...do you agree with that?

  • @Slimsaidi Fender still has Inca Silver as a finish option however, it is no longer available as a standard color. The closest you can get now is Blizzard Pearl.

  • This is a brilliant looking strat. I would pay big money to have this, and I bet you have. But it's well worth the investment! At 3:00 is that the 3 pickups all activated? Sounds big. Very big.

  • i really want to put better pickups in my mexican strat, but i still want to have that strat sound just beef it up some, someone plz tell what they thing!!!!!!

  • what pick ups r on corgans?

  • @20stevieray dimarzio's of his own design. IE not Tone Zone etc... There is a pre wired pick guard you can buy with his pickups but I'm not sure you can get them indiv.

  • @20stevieray I actually have Billy Corgan's special designed Dimarzios in this guitar now! They are BC1 neck pickup, Chopper mid pickup, & BC2 bridge pickup. This video has the same Mid pickup he uses. You can buy them individually as I did on Ebay. If you go to the Dimarzio website you can read about them, choose Pickups>Strat>Hum-Canceling>and in the list you will see the BC1&BC2

  • Got about the same done to my Strat except for having a Super Distortion in te bridge. Sweet pickups.

  • looks like corgans bat strat i used to own one of those with the lace sensor pickups

  • @DrownInGrace88 haha, yeah! I bought this in 1997 and I wanted to get Billy Corgans "bat strat". It wasn't until late I realized he had a 57 reissue strat (or something like that) and it was Brown and he painted it silver... anyway, back in the day I actually had bat stickers exactly like his all over it and it looked SWEET, but I grew out of the stage where I wanted to copy my idols and now it is just the silver you see here.

  • @slangdoll yeah i dont really like the new signature strat that fender made for corgan , i think it would had looked cooler it they made the bat strats , that silver one you got its nice , i hardly see that color anymore its super rare to find , i own a blizzar pearl mexi strat i was thinking about gettting lace sensors for it and take those tex mex out but i think i might order that billy c pre wired pickguard in black ,some graph tech blacksaddles and black kluson tuners what do you think ?

  • @DrownInGrace88 So are you thinking about getting the BC prewired pickguard as in his new BC Dimarzio pickups... or do you just mean Lace senors (blue>silver>red) that he was known to use at one point? Either way, you can't go wrong... I own both sets of 3 and they both sound amazing. Much Much more balls then texmex crap, lol. I'll always recommend that people replace their mexican strat pickups with anything else of good quality. I just look to the artists who's sound I like and test them out.

  • @slangdoll yeah the dimarzio billy corgan pickguard , i think it will sound really good on my 60th anniversary blizzard pearl mexi strat , i dont want to have lace sensors on both strats , that would be silly haha , i like your demo because i hear how they sound clean and with distortion , the black strat which has the lace sensors its great if you are using a big muff you get that siamese dream sound , the lace sensor blue is good for blues too i play cream and blues on Bm and sounds great

  • shit man.

thats some meean distortion that thing kicks out. what pedal are you using?

  • This is the Marshall Mode Four OD2 with the tone matrix at 3 and the scoop in.

  • how much its cost one dimarzio ?

  • @rockmaster002 Prices vary but I think its about $60 USD for 1 dimarzio... maybe a little more like around $80 USD.

  • I would recommend you to try or listen the cruiser Neck... it is amazing..

  • I'm putting a Tone Zone Humbucker in my strat, and i want a good Dimarzio MiniHumbucker to put in the neck.

How is the Air Norton S??

    Thank you so much!!

  • Air Norton S is known to be a perfect compliment to the Tone Zone in the Bridge... that what this guitar had during the recording of this video.

  • @MayaHatter a single coil sized humbucker is not the same as a minihumbucker. Minihumbuckers are what can be found on some tele necks and Gibson Firebirds to name a few.

  • That is a sick sounding guitar im thinking of getting a tone zone in my strat for the bridge i already have EMG S pick ups so I hope that will sound just as killer haha

  • @andersontla You can't go wrong with the DiMarzio humbucker tech in the single coil size. It would be a lot meaner then the stock piuckups... you bring that over to a friends house that also has a strat and yours will kick the shit out of it!

Its more the Mode Four your hearing then the pickups for the distortion but the clean channel should be fairly accurate to how it would hear for most people with the Gain at 5, Bass at 9, Mid at 4, and Treble 7.

  • Hey man, I play an LP Classic with super hot humbuckers and you'd never guess some of those sounds were coming out of a strat from the demo.. very "full/beefy" tone...
