This is purely common sense, if he favors blacks over whites then something or an experience might have driven him to hold such bias. The question ought to be: Why does he favor blacks over whites? Obviously his dad is black and his mum is white. If both races treated him well, I have no doubt that he would have chosen to be " biracial." Everybody has a bias, it's simply your frame of reference. It's not necessarily an indicator of how he governs, but race is indicative of his perspective. Just like a Jewish president would be more sympathetic to Israel than an Arab would, or a Mexican president would be more sensitive to immigration issues than a white guy.

You could argue that him being raised by white people is significant (though I'd disagree as it's not as though he's going out of his way to specifically help white people either), but the fact that he has a white parent doesn't mean he wouldn't feel an affinity with blacks. yeah I'm sure republicans are out there saying its all black people fault. thats not even true. like most every dem they just want to buy votes. it don't matter if it is good but all that matters is that it looks good. oh yeah I don't have all that much faith in the right wing party or the g.o.p or whatever they are calling themselfs today.

But Cenk, Obama did take sides in that incident you mentioned. He said the officer acted stupidly before knowing the facts. And as it turns out the officer did nothing wrong and it was the Black guy who got very defensive for no apparent reason. This Rep. is an idiot but apparently so is Obama. Come on Cenk!

@blueconsole You don't know what you are talking about. Skip Gates is a personal friend of Obama. They have know each other for years. The President took the side of his friend, who happens to be black, over the side of some random cop. And if you know anything about Dr Gates, you would also know that he is mostly white.
