I remember going to Morecambe in 1989 and seeing posters for the Isle of Man Steampacket company which featured Linda Lusardi in a wetsuit carrying a speargun with a fish on the end.
Outdoor pool has gone,Bubbles indoor pool has gone,Fairground and roller coaster gone,Central Pier gone,Marineland gone,Old Empire buildings gone,Rowing boats gone,The Dome about to go soon too.Morecambe is now a "Ghost town"..Thanks for uploading the video as it brought back some nice memories of when i was a kid.
You can't beat Morecambe Promenade station. If you were to stand in that trackside position now all you would see is a Burger King and Morrisons. It is a disgrace. Thanks for uploading.
all went once the train station went down. nearly all of kendal carnforth and lancaster used to move to morecambe each saturday.
