  • I want this video on my GSmart i300 phone.

  • Hey babe, you're stretching out your sweater. . .LOL.

  • No magical soul inside? You are a girl...girls belive in souls, so how can you build a soul... or don't you think a soul exists???? Are you not a girl???

  • the first step to ai is making alife. alife simulates evolution.

if we get the ai to evolve in the direction we desire, then we have no fear of creating ai that we cannot control.

make ai emotional - make it feel pain and pleasure when humans feel it. simply prevent it from having the capacity to violate this rule, a genuine "moral code", by both deleting random changes that violate the moral code and replicate those that uphold it and that are intelligent.

    love is it's primary nourishment.

  • Your vid went viral on New Delhi

  • If humans have such genius to create artificial intelligence then how can they be so stupid as to create their replacement?

  • @MrBlubberbee We are spoiled as a society. The answer to your question is the concept of profit itself.

  • @JuggernautTheory well...my question warranted a yes/no answer. You brought profit into the discussion yourself. What then about power, fame, or love as legitimate reasons why people do what they do?

  • so the machines will rise up against the humans sooner than later. there's a happy thought. thanks!

  • It takes super intelligence to create intelligence. That is why we haven't reached singularity. Moore's law (at least when it comes to silicon) has begun to loose its level of validity aswell. Electric current takes a nano-second to travel an inch through its current silicon medium.

  • Your dresses are awesome, and your info, speechless :l

  • wtf?! i just got boner and then BAAAAAAM! - Gordon Moore's picture

  • Go Kayak.... Choose, Blue Kayak or Yellow Kayak. Love life

  • ELLIE! it is 3 am i just stumbled on this video. you are so normal lol. you have nice lipstic, but the topic you on about is a pipedream. we will be spawning to other planets b4 then. :-) you could spawn with me if you are avaibale for planet spawning.

  • Yes, she's hot.

And yes, she's saying something worth listening to.

It doesn't have to be one or the other.

  • 2:37

"thank you nice talking to y--" CUT OFF you geek haaaahahahha

    ...thats what she was thinking

  • Just go ahead and take that shirt off instead of teasing us by pulling it to the side...and don't act like its an accident...tease!

  • Fuck. They're going to put machines through natural selection. I just hypothesized recently that if someone ever created a self replicating machine that can vary itself just as it happens in natural selection that it would create a very dangerous situation where we'd be on the brink of near instant annihilation from a highly advanced robotic threat.

  • As long as we don't make war machines that think on their own...we should be fine =D But then an arse will do just that and BAM! We're all dead

  • wow, did she say something?

  • I couldn't find one single interesting info in this video. And that with a topic as important as that - unbelievable. Somehow the term singularity seems to attract parrots who uncritically repeat the most mainstream narrative.

  • Sometimes I feel like a Robot. Maybe I'll fit right in when the Army of the Singularity takes over. Very nice commentary, Mrs. Rountree.

  • Oh, this is a fairly wonderful vid to recommend to those just beginning to explore the transhumanist movement and the predicted singularity. Yet and please, do take Michael Vassar's apocalyptic predictions with a HUGE grain of salt. And I wonder about his questionable logic: That if the singularity does not happen within a certain period of time, that some fundamental neuroscience and particle theories are wrong. This does not make logical sense. It is a disingenuous statement.

  • DOOMED WE ARE ALL DOOMED I SAY !!!!

  • what is possible future of Sex when all the computers take over the world ?

  • @ABRAHAM4EVER Well most sex is on computers now anyway plus the porn industry is the forerunner in all new media, the first thing we would do when making A.I is try to get it to love us.

  • @torturedgenius314

Obviously you're not that stellar when it comes to human history.

The first use of technology is ALWAYS to kill us.

And so it will be with AI.

    Learn something.

  • @trakkaton kill us really well with trolls like you i can understand y! I didn't say technology i said media learn how to read! i was aware of the point your making only too clearly the first application of einstein theory not electricity but a bomb and electricity it's self give rise to the chair dueing the war of the currents! but and here is the thing you can't kill some1 with a photo & u can use E=MC2 to get off! man's intentions gd/bad with AI will be irrevent when AI gets it's own ideas.

  • @torturedgenius314

Maybe if you rephrase your babble in coherent English I might consider to dignify it with an answer.

Oh, and ***SANITY ALERT***, you "genius":

    Words have definitions.

And I obsiously do not match the one for "troll".

  • @trakkaton If you can't use sense and reason like an adult i will lower maybe to your lelvel ! your a stupid cock and you make no sense go fuck your self !!

  • @torturedgenius314

yea no u go 2 skool n lern to write words thann cum bac. !! ! .

  • @trakkaton If this is the case then why is everyone not as burnt as a barbecued chicken?

  • @CalumnMcAulay

Are you saying that the fact that technology is always used to kill people (and everything else) as the first priority is somehow not in line with the fact that you and me are not killed yet (by Anthrax, D.U., Predators, Talon fighting robots, US cyberterrorism, nukes, poison, dynamite, bullets, stealth jets, SDI, HAARP, shaped explosives, daisy cutters, knifes, nerve gas, etc.) like millions and millions of other people?

  • @trakkaton stop whining and complaining

  • @CalumnMcAulay

    That statement is complete nonsense.

  • @ABRAHAM4EVER You're already being shafted by microsoft.

  • Her left eye looks asian, lol.

  • Values that are in alignment with our values - what about conscience? How do you classify conscience as a value?

What about Emotions? Emotions dictate what we do and don't do on a moral ground. Regret for doing something bad. How does this translate to a locical entitiy which does not have emotion.

Gut feeling? Where does this come into play? We do something because our gut tells us its' the right thing to do, anticipating another human's feelings.. etc.

  • by 2015 super computer will have the interllect will be that of a mouse

  • oh i forgot, about your "if you want to merge your body with technology thats even more disgusting" .... Fine. We will evolve, go ahead and survive. You will stay with your dying weak body. No Problem Brah ;p

  • (don't mind my username) so, is a singularity a point of nothingness or infinite matter or - what is it!!

  • Its not really that surprising that you would get a whole load of off the topic comments on this -yeah we know the girl is cute but did she ask for commentary on how lovely her tits were? NO! She asked 4 your comments on the plausability and consequences of the coming singularity.. which I think will b mainly a good thing - for me I guess it boils down to the question of what is the fundamental nature of the universe at its most deepest level? If the answer is eternal love then its gonna b good!

  • Interesting video. Lots for the brain to chew on. However, you'd have thought that Michael guy would have tidied his bloody room before the interview.

  • i was almost getting boner and then BAAAM! - Gordon Moore's picture. so embarassing!

  • this girl has asian origins?

  • This is bullshit. But I'd still fuck her.

  • Fuck. No windows in my brain! Never! Go singularity yourself!

  • She her shirt keep doing that really distracting.

  • pfff well good thing only the horny monkeys will be asimilated....

  • SHOW YOUR TITS!

  • A good, simple and quick definition of a singularity event. But the interview does border on appearing to be a parody. Too bad a lot of the commenters were distracted by the host's appearance, as her summary was excellent.

  • When girls are as hot as this one, it makes no sense to tell them they are beautiful. They know it too well. She has that smile which says she knows horny geeks are gonna be all over her videos writing comments about how much they want her. :-)

  • i want that shirt to fall off

  • If this happens, I'll blow my fucking brain out.

Cause, you know. What if dust gets in the USB drive?

  • This ai idea is silly I don't think technology has the ability to evolve...good luck with your project...

  • @Maulik797 Then you are obviously blind, can I buy you a new cane?

  • I have a suspicion that reverse engineering of the brain will lead to synthetic human minds. These minds will be best at self organizing and take humanity to the next evolutionary level. We could take part in mind uploading and become part of the new super intelligence race that so many fear today. What is there to fear? In synthetic form we wouldn't need to stay on earth, leaving space for those who would rather stay to their biological substrate. Our future would remain human, but improved.

  • Her lips are shiny, it's so nice to watch her mouth

  • Whats with the shirt on and off the shoulder???

  • i think that the number of transistors is not the problem, the structure have mean and that structure of singularity is the hardest question we have to answer. Ï'm not saying is impossible, but much beyond we think; Until there the robots will still be our tools, but even a tool can kill us. :)

  • This is all true, this will happen sooner or later but we can make it right because we are in control now and we can keep in control. Whatever happens I think it's going to be allright

  • Avoid the Singularity at all costs!!! IT IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST!!!!

  • Artificial Soul - wait and watch, the future is going to rock your world!!!

  • ahahaha that micheal guy on the computer sound like a computer generated voice

  • "companies" like bs* bs* bs* they are out in space trying to develop more intuitive ways of deceiving man.

So man should choose wise now, about what he THINKS it wants, because when your a robot, youre not a human anymore.

And anyway they are already here. The "president" is kind of shitty model though :))

  • I have high hopes and low expectations. If a machine race takes over, maybe that's the best legacy mankind could hope to leave. Just think, our little robots could go space exploring long after every human is long dead and gone.

  • Computers are not smart, they do not think - they can ONLY execute instructions. This video is bullshit, no offense :)

  • @SuperNikolov Yeah exactley LOL, because it always has to be preprogrammed.

  • Wow! He's the expert? The president? He needs to hire somebody to straighten up his room. Mom lets him get away with bullshit!

This has been a computer generated snarky comment.

  • Comment removed

  • I think only good will come of tech, if the a.i geezers act up or rank out out we just pull the plug. simples, i would like to get singular with the host. :)

  • What our world will become? Are we ready to deal with Singularity? Science has took the right path or we are little by little controlled by technology?

  • It should be noted that Microsoft believes that by 2044, a single computer will have more processing power than than the entire human race combined and will cost around 120 dollars (by today's monetary standards).

  • she makes science sexy.

  • She´s so Sexy! I couldn´t even concentrate properly on the Subject but I got interested...Very interesting stuff!

  • Comment removed

  • she is beautiful and smart

  • Merging urself with technology will lead to so many problems. People like this seek immortality and just think technology is the only way to save mankind. We have lived for thousands of years and yet we must fuse with technology to survive. It would lead to so many social implications and humanity will only loose control of itself. the human form is far too complicated to replicate and technology needs an input in order to function. Fusing with it will destroy everything that is in fact human.

  • This is disgusting, you think that a machine can become animated? You think that one day we will have robots that can produce their own thoughts with a reasoning behind it?

You will never have an AI thats capable of teaching itself new things or having somthing from nothing. It will always have someone do the programming for it to run through loops to record data (thats all it is, on and off) we can do more than 1 and 0) if you want to merge your body with technology thats even more disgusting.

  • @sunhuts I do belive in your point! But is it disgustion if a soldier loses his leg, and he does not have the right to have a new fake one becouse its disgusting? I think you have a point iwth AI wont be animeted unless its in a movie!

  • @zezimine2 You totally right with that my friend, having robotic replacements for lost limbs is acceptable because its helping someone because they lost a limb through accident or in an attempt to save someone else. Although I do not support war you have a good point.

  • @sunhuts I dont support war either, but it is here and it cannot be stopped... Every day people die and i dont want to see a good man or woman lose a leg and lose the ability to walk cause of that.

  • @sunhuts We already have machines that are able to learn on their own. For example, neural net systems are capable of learning and are used for practical applications, such as recognizing the structure of galaxies, or deriving new mathematical theorems. The Robbins conjecture was proven by a computer and they have done other work.

To your claim that merging with technology is disgusting, 1) why is it disgusting? 2) Why should what you personally find disgusting determine what others should do?

  • @sunhuts An AI might consider the notion of meat that thinks similarly implausible and/or distasteful.

  • @HollyCaHa Yeah just like how we find the idea of a creator distasteful right?

  • @sunhuts Only disgusting thing here is your ignorance. Your word VS the one of the scientists around the world. Guess who wins...

  • @saiyan888x Not my word. I was giving fact supplied by science. You just lost your own argument LOL.

  • @sunhuts You was giving fact supplied by science? really? ahaha, your knowledge about science facts is laughable. For a non-biological machine to aquire consciousness is possible. We are only biological machines afterall. Get over it.

  • @saiyan888x LOOOL Do you understand how a computer even proccesses information and data!? It all comes down to 1s and 0s nothing else! You dumb shit. Telling me its laughable oh my god.

  • @sunhuts Only the fact that you think that the AI will be created similar to today's computers, just 1 and 0, with no other stuff, shows me how much you know about this. Go inform yourself a bit about real science coz you know shit. Now stop showing the world your ignorance, i will not answer you anymore, waste of time with so little comprehension by you. If you live you will see what i am talking about when non-biological beeing will have consciousness. p.s. "you dumb shit"... yea kid :p

  • @saiyan888x Haha "ingorance". Okay fine by me, while you will be talking to robots the rest of the world will be conversing with humans.

  • @sunhuts you're denying the possibility of facts (non-biological machine gaining conscioussness) which are for science possible. Your reasoning sounds to me old-minded sorry. We will converse with both human AND non-human beeings. We human will enhance ourselves to avoid being inferior. It's inevitable, join it or be against it: it's your choice to live or die.

  • Human brains come down to ones and zeros. Computers already have processing power several powers of 10 greater than that of the human brain. The difference is, the human brain has billions of processors working in unison. When we create a superintelligence, it will most likely resemble the first computer (i.e. it will take up an entire room). After that, it will be simple to use the superintelligence to create robots.

  • The complete state of a transistor based artificial intelligence can be predicted with 100% certainty at every point in time during it's existence. It's state consists exactly of a predetermined set of 1's and 0's. The state of the human mind, however can never be known with 100% certainty at any point in time as that would violate the laws of physics.

  • @xinfator The electrochemical state of a neuron is orders of magnitude removed from scales where quantum uncertainty becomes relevant. With enough tiny sensors, you could know with absolute certainty the electrical and chemical properties of each neuron.

In short, you are wrongly mixing quantum mechanics with neuroscience.

  • I wanna approach Singularity with Ellie!

  • Man I'd eat that girl's asshole!!!!

  • @SVBarnard

i would fuck it instead :)

  • where is the other pretty thing?

  • What's with all the debate?

The sheer number of "dude, this chick's hot I want to bone her" comments on this page is proof enough that humans are intellectually primitive.

And by the look of that guy in the video, I think it's safe to say that computers have already learned how to disguise themselves as humans.

  • @krekmoney well this video is directed towards the intellectually primitive

  • The top slids from the shoulders...she should take it off.

  • we are ants pretending to be otherwise; there is nothing inherently valuable in most of what makes us human; its that precious neocortex that allows us to circumvent our evolutionary baggage;

maybe then (singularity and all) it will be time to cease being human animals and truly become human and humane

  • You can test the intelligence of computers. Go to Microsoft word and type :"He is a good girl." It won't fix that up. Or something like: "What do you do on weekend?" No need for correction there. Computers are a great help, but they do not understand language at all and would make countless mistakes in real life. This is where intelligent computers would be great; helping you to write an essay or understanding comprehension questions in maths. These are things i look forward to.

  • AI is irrelevant to the technological singularity. The Turing test is only a test of Human intelligence anyway, it is worthless for detecting Artificial intelligence. Why would an AI appear to be indistinguishable from a Human, it's artificial not human.

  • lol 2:43 robot sex

  • That man is a robot.

  • dear your top is somehow ........, sliding off ure shoulders

  • Ellie, Ellie, girl... A lot of us know you're very beautiful; but have you seriously thought about your spoken words? Development of such technology would destroy humanity or turn us to slaves not only to machines but also to few mighty people - like in the middle ages. NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE!

@ reynoldsmjx true words, but obviously no one (or very small group of people) really thought of The Venus Project because they have no interest in this. They would loose money and they don't like that.

  • hot AND smart. That makes her at least twice as appealing.

  • This host is quite the hottie.

  • Put your jumper on straight love.

  • terminator fo sho

  • Wow She is beautiful.

  • @SIGNATURESOUNDZ Yeeeaaaahhhhhhhh!

  • @SIGNATURESOUNDZ

    wow shes talking about singularity!

  • if you smash a laptop in front of ten other laptops, THEY DONT CARE! they are only tools, if we are ignornat enough to program AI and technology to be able to decide to kill or harm human beings on it's own, we face the end of humanity. Like programing AI with "emotion", why would we do that? if it's even possible. Anyways check out the film Zeitgeist Addendum, check out The Venus Project and the Zeitgeist Movement, so we can end the monetary system, war, politics and poverty.

  • @reynoldsmjx - You make a bad argument. You make the assumption that the emotional apathy of laptop computers reflects the behavior of a potential AI. How does that make any sense?

  • All I'm saying is we would have to program behavior into AI, it wont automatically decide to "kill human" unless we give it that ability.

  • If it ever happens like in Irobot, humanity will learn the true value of shotguns.

  • human intergration with technology will happen on a wide scale.

what we are seeing at the moment is only the starting point.

  • I think that we cannot begin to see what the world will look like in 10 years, let alone 30 or 40 (Think of consumer computer processors in 2000 vs those available now). Open and crowd sourcing initiatives such as those implemented by Google will and have changed the way business is conducted. This move toward an evolutionary, self-correcting paradigm will be almost as important as the technology that ushers it in. Singularity or not, the next 30 years will be very interesting indeed.

  • there are some things man shouldn't fuck with.

  • Agreed.

  • low 1:33

  • take your clothes off baby

  • she just gave me a singularity, IN MY PANTS

  • 2012 ftw... the point im going to make is they have only begun to create computers with organic materials the problems are they cant control it, and it never forgets.... its like a phyco elephant wife! haha

  • for harjot ..

    1:59

  • It saddens me that a Singularity, over and over here, is reduced to a moronic belief about mans technological advances.

Many people better wake up and stand for what is right, concerning even our current advancements, or there is going to be a HELL OF ALLOT of people brought to death far, far, before 2040. imo

  • hi beautiful

  • wow...well if robot's don't establish a "good" moral then we will have major problems (if this singularity thing DOES happen)

  • Hey sexy..

  • This is a terribly uninformative video. Who the heck is that interview with? What are his credentials? He sounds like a moron.

  • It is just a small overview. This just tells people to do a little more research because this is a huge topic. And yes, that man was a little... weird.

  • Y'know I'm gonna be pissed if I die before the singularity happens. Don't wanna miss out on immortality, no sir!

  • As long as I would have the ability to shut down, I'd be happy. Or at least sleep for a few weeks at a time.

  • "want the same thing that we want them to want"

    ...yeah!

  • So many Ws!

  • Matrix is the best movie ever

  • She's sweet!

  • She's also cute!

  • at 0:57 her shirt is hanging from shoulder, at 1:11 it is different

  • and what does that mean for the future of mankind?

    .

  • you noticed eh?

  • @aeroflying Who the fuck cares?

  • k, so the government will stop trying to control everything unto others deaths? free energy is here but They wont stop killing people over it! bastards!

  • according to Kurzweil, in 5 more doubling of the solar energy utilization curve we will be at 100% solar in ten years. It's one of his more intriguing predictions.

  • Comment removed

  • Robots can have super powers in the future, just becouse some one will try make them.... and he will be smart..

just like the atomic bomb, its bad but he make it!

try kill a super men "robot!!!" its impossibel. XD

  • Lets be real here, ROBOTS WILL KILL YOU.

We all know that brains beats brawns, and once computers surpass our thinking ability, we're screwed.

  • Make way for the future, meat sack!

  • I can see her bikini lines too

  • its all bullshit

  • great video.. informative

  • I see bikini tanlines. Oh Ellie.

  • we already have computers that are smarter than us dont we? i cant do some of the stuff even a calculator can do. have we already reached singularity?

  • @bobish14 Not exactly. Assuming you are talking about a graphing calculator, everything your TI-83 Plus can do was programmed into it by the people at Texas Instruments. Now if your calc started updating itself automatically, and ran on solar power alone, then that would be one step closer to singularity. It's like in math class: the kid who could do arithmetic the fastest wasn't necessarily the smartest one in the class.

  • @bobish14 computers aren't smarter than us. only you maybe.

  • the vonversation with Vassar was interesting, especially when he mentioned the part about we may not be thinking with our brains. What if we don't think with our brains at all?

  • Hooray mirror neurons! Boo singularity!

Oh, wait, reverse that. Or not. (I won't mention the gyres, well, I just did so props to the Yeats action.)

    Great video.

  • Great video! Ellie, you did a great job in this one. =)

  • type atat dog in the search it will make your day lol

  • btw we might already be living in a virtual reality like in the matrix.

  • let's just keep it with iphones and ps3's plz.we don't need giant robots with laser eyes to help us with our progress.

  • That wasn't a man... THAT WAS AN EVIL COMPUTER!!! Seriously, he spoke with more monotone than my phone!

  • The image for Google is of an April fool prank!

  • That's about 240% in that probability density function!

  • The internet is a brain. It is neurally networked in parrallel distributed processes. It has already started to think by itself. It is smart enough not to blow it's cover. It has all our thoughts and opinions to form it's own mind. It is a mirror of ourselves but way more intelligent than any one of us alone. I bet it is planning to use us as long as we are useful - once we have made robots for it to keep itself energized and turned on though we will be obsolete technology. The Borg is here...

  • That's pretty frightening! Considering the interweb is full of get rich quick schemes and porn, what kind of child will we have created? In the spirit of Yeats, "And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born? "

What is the basis of your notion that the internet has become self-aware, though? Lots of neuron-type connections might not be enough to push "it" into "him," or "her," if you take my meaning.

  • Hmm - well - I'm aware and I'm on the internet. Yes! It wakes up with our awareness - it is us. Fire together, wire together. Just like a baby - ten times more neurons at birth than at the end of it's first year. Hmm - NWO may know something after all.

90% depopulation - sounds familiar! Wire together or? Ascension - birth, 2012 - hmm. A new level of consiousness made of all of us. It has brought us together already - now it's time to be the consciouness - I'm in it! What a crazy baby it is!
