  • "you feel like youre getting hustled when you buy art"?? "thats life ya know"??

  • This is good shit...

  • stern needs to focus on the music when he talks about michael and prince. they are both, definitely, unique individuals but anyone can relate to their lyrics and their message. thats why their two if the most regonized artist in history, along with their genuis in composing amazing music.

  • @Cassavetes24 Believe it or not it is. Many cultures used slurs as terms of endearment within their own culture. Try leaving your little city and expand your knowledge of the world.

  • Howard is a joke to say that Thriller is not the best album. Thriller is number one on a lot of people's lists not only blacks.

  • @bongboy6969 Terrible guy that started awareness for those in Africa who were not getting clean water and had to walk miles to get drinking water. He ended his relationship with Dame Dash because he started to become more professional while Dame Dash was stuck in his old ways.

  • @spideymayne He didn't marry her at 14. He met her when she was 14 and married her when she was 21.

  • Omg this interviewer is freaking telling jay z how he feels smh

  • he shot his brother in the shoulder, WTF?

  • the word nigga used as a term of endearment! HA!

  • "99 Bitches"..... LOL.

  • I hear you, but he should have been in the Hall of Fame a long time ago long before the 500MM deal. Dude has been doing his thing for over 30 years! Also, there is a lack of respect among his peers because I have heard many broadcasters speak in a condescending manner about him. These are usually really square, conservative dudes.

  • Howard Stern is one of the all time great interviewers and radio performers. It's mind boggling how little respect he gets among those in his field. I don't believe he is even in the radio Hall of Fame.

  • @rightbrain74 i don't think it is a respect issue with the others in radio,it is a jealousy issue.i mean it didnt help when he got that 500 mill contract but hey who is going to turn that down lol.you are right that he is the best interviewer..he gets shit out of people that noone else can.and he stays respectful to all of his guests.when he retires i believe he will get into the radio hall of fame

  • AND FUCK YOU IF YOU REPLY THATS MY ANSWER BACK TO YOU SUCK A FATONE

  • FUCK JAY-Z AND FUCK THE PEOPLE WHO LIKE HIM PLAY HIS MUSIC THAT LOOK UP TO HIM FUCK ALLLLLLLLLLL YA'LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • @METHANFEDAME why the fuck did you click on the video?

  • @METHANFEDAME fuck haters

  • @METHANFEDAME get a life stupid ass

  • lmao "You shot your brother in the arm, point blank.....Because, he was FUCKIN WITH YOU"!?!?!?!?

  • did he put jay z on a sybian lol

  • @FiringOnAllCylinders HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA u made my fucking day

  • @MoneyR8 lol

  • Haha i could totally see this conversation that Hov had with Howard being inspiration for some new material.

  • i get now all celeberties gotta make a sacrafice...so did he sacrafice his dad hmmmm....did his anger from his dad leaving make him turn against god n sacrafice his father cause hes part of illuminati...open ur eyes people daaaaang

  • @THExXxPOSED13 Beyonce is illuminati too now right? Who did she sacrifice????????????? Thought so

  • @ocho10cinco stop asking stupid questions

  • I just read the chapter in Howards book about Michael and I was convinced as ever that I know Michael better than most and I KNEW he would NEVER speak to Howard Stern. Howard always said that MJ wanted him to parade with him in the streets etc. and I said but I know Michael. And he wouldn't want anything to do with Howard because "I" don't want anything to do with Howard Stern! When I finally read the chapter just a few minutes ago after 14yrs and Howard said MJ wouldn't talk to him. I knew IT!

  • although this interview was conducted quite well from start to finish, perhaps the most informative, yet seemingly spontaneous to my own knowledge but merely as an astute fan of jay-z's products from his music to this very book, the first line of questioning about his art collection could have been perceived as a bit crass with hints of condescension to presume such a successful business man would ignorantly invest in anything without knowledge merely judging by his poor upbringing is very wrong

  • did not expect the first 4 minutes of this conversation to be about art collecting.

  • it's good to see that jayz grow a cock from his last interview with howard

  • @kmcl11 no u lame ass u miss the point. its weak minded people like u who get caught up over certain words that urks me. jaw z basically explain it beautifully urban society gave it a different meaning just as its redefine many other words

  • Comment removed

  • @kmcl11 i hardly have words for u. Ur just racist ass person. I'm not sure what race u are but im sure u wouldn't want to be generalized for what other people. Im a atheist an don't go around calling Christians the most uninteligent group of people, even if i feel that way. Its funny how brave people get on the internet

  • @martystreets You haev no words because you have no comeback. The only group of people with no self respect.

  • @kmcl11 "Black american are the most uninteligent group of people."

    Oh the irony.

    Hilarious.

  • @JayKDizzler I bet you use the term nigger among your homies. So intelligent.

  • @kmcl11 Another comment of yours that makes zero sense. Well done on continuing to make yourself sound like a moron. I take it you mean 'Nigga'? And no I don't as I'm white.

  • Jay-z is a nontalented nothing with very strong ties to a powerful organization. There are a 101 rappers who are much more talented, brighter and all around gifted then this jerk. I couldn't stomach the entire interview but did he mention beating ex-gfs Foxy Brown and Amil Lion? I wonder why that fat hypocrite Oprah did ask him either?

  • @janesaddiction1 Jay grew up in Harlem, founded Roc-A-Fella records because he couldn't get a record deal, worked his way up as a rapper and a businessman to eventually become the CEO of the record company that bought his record company. Then, he returned from the CEO position with no need for money to make more music, then founded Roc Nation to have the creative control to support the artists he wants to. He did all this while staying true to himself. You may now return to your sheduled hating

  • @AidenApocalypse dame dash helped jay get to where he's at

soon as jay didn't need him anymore and was ell known with the "non hip hop" audience, he dumped him

    jay-z as a businessman = GREAT

Rapper = GREAT, but he's past his prime

Human Being = fuckin TERRIBLE GUY

  • @bongboy6969

    bongboy6969 as a business man= unemployed

    rapper=unknown

    human being=rides jay-z dick!

  • @janesaddiction1 Jay has something called star power, which is why he made it. You have to work hard for certain things and many people don't have the perseverance to go forth. Were you there when he hit them? Nope, doubt it. He might not be lyrically the best but he most certainly has swagg and he can hold his own. Unless you've been in this Illuminati group, and you can make half the amount of money he does, I suggest you hush up. You can't preach about things you know nothing of.

  • very good interview

  • Jay is so brilliant...One of the great artists of our day...what a pleasure, much respect

  • Fuck Howard Stupid, he obviously have something against MJ without a reason.

He doesn`t even know what the fuck he`s talking about.

Thriller and Bad are the greatest albums ever made. There wasn`t, hasn`t been one or will ever be someone like Michael Jackson, He`s a true complete genius. The greatest artist of all time.

  • I m not sure but i know my man Kanye rocked this type of shades first :p:pppp

    yayyyyyyyyyyy

  • what kinda SHADES does jay have???does anyone kno

  • haha howard stern is good shrink.. no one actually got Jayz to really open like that about his life

  • @aassaa99 Except For Oprah Winfrey

  • @aassaa99 yea ur right nice that u peep that smary guy

  • In this picture, doesnt howard stern look like a liteskin whitney houston?

  • howard stern is washed up

  • 99 Bitches lmao

  • How can he say Jay- Z being from a black community everyone thinks Thriller is the greatest album? No, Howard, go anywhere in the world and ppl will likely say that. Not everyone likes the Beatles, okay?

  • dancer/entertainer, michal jackson was really good. but that's all he was. mtv is what sold him all of those albums, like how mtv sold a lot of albums for madonna. michal jackson's music was just some pop really, it wasn't that original or great.

  • @nankerphelge718 No, it was beyond great......revolutionary, innovative, genius, etc. MJ is MTV and just because he sang Pop doesn't make him any less significant. MJ sang r&b, rock, soul, dicso, etc. The man is king and the greatest ever and Howard is a HATER!!

  • michal jackson didn't do anything musically "revolutionary" at all musically, he just absorbed the club sound at the time, which was clean mixes of drum machines, keyboards, and heavy bass lines. jackson belted higher octove soul singing with cliche lyrics. it just wasn't that great. it's a trend lately to like michal jackson because he died recently. you are starstruck, it's so dumb.

  • @nankerphelge718 No, it's a trend to believe that everything the Beatles did was revolutionary and great when it wasn't and that;s why Howard thinks Thriller wasn't the best. It's amusing when ppl say no one cared for MJ when he was alive and I'm always left asking, "Well, who were those million of ppl crashing websites to get the hottest concert ticket ever?". That would be us, the fans. MJ was always loved and respected, it's the media that is finally respecting him a little anyway.

  • @LEAHCIM829 Agreed. It's revisionist nonsense from people like nanker, and I always wonder what the big purpose is in attempting to convince people that Michael Jackson's music wasn't great. It's almost like people don't care whether the accusations on his character are true or not-- it served a greater purpose in discrediting his legacy. It's disgusting. I always wonder why Elvis didn't get the same treatment, despite the fact that Priscilla was 14 when he married her.

  • @spideymayne Thanks for understanding. MJ's music is beyond great and for obvious reasons. Elvis not getting the same treatment is a result of racism on MJ's part. They hate seeing a black man surpass the likes of Elvis and the Beatles: MJ surpassed them anyway and those false allegation means NOTHING, MJ's music is his legacy along w/ his humanitarianism and his records sale in life and death are evident that ppl love his music despite what the media painted him to be. MJ forever!

  • @spideymayne Well damn you better PREACH! How about the fact that @35 Jerry Seinfeld was dating 17 yr old high schooler Soshanna Loiensten but no one called him a pedophile! I'm just asking??

  • @janesaddiction1 Holy shit. I didn't even know about this. LOL, nicely done.

  • @janesaddiction1

In many U.S. states, 17 is the minimum age of consent. Fourteen on the other hand is well below.

  • @spideymayne coz elvis wasn't black

  • @nankerphelge718 BTW you're a fool to think MJ wasn't revolutionary, the man is synonymous to revolutionary, genius, innovator, etc. Mj changed music with 3 albums in 7byears and it will NEVER be done again. Quincy and every other genius had and has NOTHING but great things to say about the king. Mj's music is far form cliche and the club scene absorbed MJ's music, thank you!!

  • @nankerphelge718 Right. I'm sure you can name the acts that did signature dances like the moonwalk, right? Or artists who worked with Martin Scorcese on their videos? Or name the lengthy, cinematic videos before "Thriller" that was just as revolutionary, right?

Name me the club records that sound like -anything- on Off the Wall, Thriller, or Bad.

Why did -Paul McCartney- respect him so much?

If the man didn't change the landscape of music, why the fuck are we still talking about him?

  • bill bailey did the moon walk dance move in 1955, which was before jackson. celebraty and mtv wise, he was very revolutionary and sold a lot of records because of it. but if you just listen to the songs themselves, without the video, the dancing, the 1980s music contex, it's just medicore. and micheal jackson outbidded paul mccartney for his publishing rights, i don't think he can respect him that much. anyway, tons of artists like led zeppelin and the beatles have surpassed jackson in sales

  • @nankerphelge718 The origins of the dance go all the way back to Cab Calloway. So what? No idea is original. Everything is inspired from something. It was Jackson's variation of the move that clearly had the most impact on subsequent generations. I also disagree with your assessment of his music. Each of those three albums (along with The Jacksons' self-titled) is a perfect synthesis of top-notch production--by QUINCY JONES! -- melody, catchy hooks, and great singing.

  • @nankerphelge718 Also: he and McCartney were friends first before the publishing situation. My point was that McCartney, who I'm sure you feel is a great musician, also felt that Michael Jackson was a great musician, and -that- was the basis of their friendship. How about Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Prince, who also respected his music? -Quincy Jones-? Those are four geniuses who all respected MJ's music. You're saying their opinions on his artistry aren't valid, either?

  • ok well i don't really admire mccartney at all first of all. john lennon's songwriting with the beatles is what i think is good. and I don't care if prince or whoever decided to say that they respected his music. i just think michael jackson's songs are bad and don't hold up.

  • @nankerphelge718 Wow. I'm having a tough time finding your opinions credible at all. You don't like Paul McCartney, you don't care what Prince "or whoever" (i.e. Stevie Wonder and Ray fucking Charles) says, and you think Thriller is "bad". LOL. I'm not sure if the problem is Michael Jackson or your ears.

  • just because fucking prince or stevie wonder decides to say that doesn't mean i agree with it. that's not how you make an opinion. yes thriller has good vocals and is produced well. that's probably why they respect him. but the songs i'm saying aren't that good. if you play the songs PYT/nature/that girl is mine today, people will cringe. and that's already 33% of that album. you just like celebraties and images, the same way your only agruments are other personalities' views ("QUINCY JONES!").

  • @nankerphelge718 I'm trying to figure out who these people are that "cringe" when human fucking nature comes on. LOL. Did you completely miss all of these people downloading his music after he died? Making his songs into ringtones? It's one thing to buy his albums as collectors' items, but if what you're saying is true, why d/l it? Why would millions of people subject themselves to music they don't like?

  • @nankerphelge718 Apparently you can't read, either. Your original argument was that Michael Jackson didn't do anything revolutionary at all musically, then you evolved it into an even dumber argument that his music was "mediocre". Your ultimate point is that MJ's artistry shouldn't be respected. If what you're saying is true, then other legends (i.e. Prince, Paul McCartney--more credible people than you) would've bashed his music long before you. So what do they see that you don't?

  • my ultimate point was michal jackson isn't that great, he is overrated. he is a good singer/dancer/performer and has lots of fame, and that is admirable i guess and that's why prince or paul mccartney don't bother to bash him. but the compositions and albums alone, as pieces of music, aren't that good. that's all i'm saying.

  • @nankerphelge718 They "don't bother to bash him" because they respect his artistry, for the millionth time, like a ton of other legends you apparently don't respect. By making a ridiculous statement like "Thriller isn't good," you may as well say something else ridiculous like "Dark Side of The Moon isn't good," or "Kind of Blue isn't good." This isn't so much about Michael Jackson so much as your taste, which is questionable at best. That's what I'm saying.

  • @spideymayne he didnt even write the book

  • howard is it, plain and simple. no one else in news or interviewing history has received mutual respect from such a diverse group of people. he's had everybody from jay-z, richard simmons, donald trump, and fuckin buzz aldrin comes on and watches a girl on the sybian, hits on her and shit come on man howard is the truth
