I was against this war from day one, and no doubt I was disappointed that so many Democrats voted for the war, especially at one of my own Senators (Dianne Feinstein). But now we're there, and it's time to leave before things get even worse, because it's not about how much worse it'll be, but when.

It is our responsibility to clean up what we started, and it may take years and years, even your top Democrats agree with this. Hillary and Edwards have both conceeded that there can not be an immediate withdrawl. You disagree with your senator but I am sure you voted for her last fall.

I couldn't care less what Hillary and Edwards said, to be honest. Iraq is undergoing a civil war, and there's nothing we can do to stop it. If the Iraqi people truly wish to live under a theocracy, then it is theocracy they shall impose.

most of us believed the same, yet I did not believe it was right to do so without support. But now we are there and what is our responsibility to those whose government we eliminated. At the least we owe them a secure viable government with a chance for success. To leave with a shia majority in charge would mean the murdering of thousands of sunnis, justified or unjustified. This would not be blamed by the world on bush but the US and its electorate. Our future as a moral leader would be ended.
