  • 3:26 The Rock movie...

  • 2:35 Bear Grylls?

  • Once again, Test Drive 5.

  • No wonder they didn't become more popular- only 50,000 strong? Way to undersell yourselves.

  • oh this song brings me so many memories, playing test drive 5 on my old PS1 =)

  • 1998- man, every one hated on it, ..but Machine (lamb of god) produced this album and it's genius.

  • FUCK OFF DUBSTEP CUNTS.

  • Awesome. I saw these guys twice over the years. Once they opened for CARCASS in 1992 then in 1998 they were part of a five band lineup with 13mg headlining.

  • Test Drive 5, here we go o/

  • does anyone have the lyrics

  • TD5 you win!!

  • @frisko129 HELL YEAH!!!!

  • OMG! Old gooooooood times! Yeah!

  • Yep, I discovered Pitchshifter on the Test Drive 5 soundtrack. Never looked back. They're awesome.

  • Test Drive 5, this brings me back a lot of memories... Memories that I won't be able to live again

  • TD5

  • Let's cancel 21st century

  • lol in test drive 5 they cut out like half of the music video to make way for the random cars

  • Still a badass track, love the distorted bass!

  • Love this band. I had the fortune of meeting them and having master classes with Mark Clayden and Jason Bowld as well as supporting them when I studied Contemporary Popular Music in college (back in 2004).

    They're awesome people.

  • Apparently, a disfunction actually IS a function.

  • in the early 2000's was back when metal meant Metal and not wimpy bitchs and skinny gayboys with make up and tight pants jumping around desperately whoreing themselves for airplay and writeing generic bulshit hopeing for massive coperate sponsership and airplay.

  • @WayofDaGun You mean the 80's??

  • @RobTheBuilder lol

  • No talent here. I love the song but no talent in this band other than a sound... metal has been around for a long time...

  • @klondike505 yeah but these guys heped push the boundaries. If music is original it doesnt need to be technical imo. otherwise every band would sound like metallica or acdc or whatever

  • @WayofDaGun Totally with you on that. I'd take pitchshifter over bvb or some shit like that

  • @WayofDaGun no one could've said it better

  • @WayofDaGun

Actually, there were plenty of those types in the early 2000's. Limp Bizkit, Korn, Orgy... a lot of them were the same way only they looked slightly different.

  • Dey shud change der names to Awesomeshifter! love deez guys!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

  • WITH ME THERE'S NO RELIGION love those lyrics!!! -

  • This track is still so, so, so good. Hail to the shifter!

  • ah takes me back to my old ps1(: still play test drive 5 to this day haha

  • I went to a karaoke bar the other night and they had this song on the list...I was shocked.

  • @punk9999643 short lyrics for the attention span deficient generation :)

  • ->είναι το κομμάτι που είχαν οι ΑΜΑΝ μετά τις διαφημίσεις (με το clip από βομβαρδισμούς κλπ)

  • its not the same without all the car noise >< xD men i miss the good old ps1/n64 days. best console of all

  • Mortal Kombat

  • THIS SONG ROCK MORE THAN MY MOTHER CHOCOLATE-CHIPS COOKIES XD

  • these guys live in vegas opened for gravity kills and shit on them

  • Excellent band, it's a shame they never really broke into the mainstream.

  • 1998?wow it sounds great on 2011.THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE!

  • @tolis287 Well, I agree. But it shouldn't come as a surprise. Music is ageless. Most of the shit I see in 2011 isn't worth listening to, and get their asses kicked by music from half a century ago.

Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga are still being exiled to hell by Led Zeppelin and Beatles.

  • @tolis287 I wonder what a bomb this was back in 1998 :O

  • 34 people disfunctioned

  • Complete rubbish.

  • Comment removed

  • I'd love to hear a Subfocus and/or Pendulum remix of this...

  • @maaadkat Pendulum would realy do a number on this track.Good call.

  • @maaadkat As long as it's dnb and not derpstep

  • @antistupidity84 there's some pretty awful D&B and some rather lovely Dubstep. So long as it's not generic meaningless junk, it's all good ;)

  • @maaadkat Brah I'm more into the older dubstep that was bass-heavy than the usual mid range cack. Even clownstep is better than dubstep nowadays lol

  • Let's enjoy the song for what it is, and not feed the trolls, please.

  • sounds pretty shit, man

  • @SonikToooth Yeah, "Pitchshitter".

  • @MirrorballJack oh you must be a linkin park fan

  • @kanto2233 Take a look in my favorites dummy; do you see Stinkin' Park? No.

  • @SonikToooth what? not the same as your lady gaga box set?

  • @kanto2233 I would rather listen to lady gaga instead of this childish garbage...

  • @SonikToooth yeah I kinda of figured thanks for simply proving my point

  • @kanto2233 I didn't say I like lady gaga but even though she is terrible, I would much rather listen to her instead of this stuff. btw how old are you? 12? because it's typical of children to bring up lady gaga, justin bieber and other mainstream pop artist into arguments, when the stuff they listen to is just as shit.

  • @SonikToooth really an attack ad hominem that's how you validate your point? tsk tsk

  • @kanto2233 It was a serious question because the first thing you wrote would make me think you're a child.

  • stupenda!!

  • test drive 5 is what got me into pitchshifter when i was like 7 now im in loveee with them=]

  • AMAN TA KA8ARMATA!

  • Test Drive 5.

  • AMAN TA KATHARMATA !!! (I LOVE THIS SONG) !!!

  • these guys were fucking leagues ahead of their time. was just listening to some highly derivative group (Enter Shikari? lol) and thought fuck this, let me go listen to the masters of their craft. and to think this came out 13 years ago! amazing.

  • @hazmat151 There were others doing it at (before) the time like Curve watch?v=fgVEtaUx070

this is of a different style but it's amazing when it explodes...turn it up! watch?v=UqL7RlmPwws

  • does this band still exist?

  • @letdomf

    Yep

  • Heard this on Test Drive 5, then again on Mortal Kombat movie (Sonya vs Mileena).

  • the song blastin when sonya and mileena fight...too bad it was a shitty movie cause that was kind of a badass fight.

  • Desfaixa nessa faixa... kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk' xD

  • "dysfunction is a function..." ahhh, but is it continuous and is it differentiable? That's what I want to know!

  • Test Drive 5 anyone?

  • @Stormchaser263 Everybody!

  • technology keeps on getting more advanced, but every cockfucking nigger-child-raping computer they make still SLOWS DOWN WHEN YOU'RE TRYING TO WATCH VIDEOS...what the CHRIST MOLESTING FUKCKKKKK.... whose the fucking GENIUS who makes a smaller Ipod and computer sstill MOTHERMARYCOCKSWALLOWING slow DOWN

  • @Thanos700 U mad bro?

  • Poloi giname re pedia!!

    goustarw!!

  • OLE ELLADA!

  • aman ta katharmata

  • Did they include this music video in test drive 5? 'Cause I never searched for this song until now, and it feels like I've seen this video before...

  • I AM DYSFUNCTIONAL

  • Damn... Soooo long since Test Drive 3...

  • I'm part of that religion

  • excelente conacion!!!!!

    me gusta......

es de las mejores canciones de pitchshifter......

  • @ChimChimandChimaira Which bands were those? What did they say?

  • sweet jesus...this brings back those late nights on MTV when they used to play actual music!!!

  • This is pure rioting music, fucking shreds. Love PSI.

  • I still remember watching the Test Drive 5 intro, when I was like 6, and this was my first experience with car racing, and such a great soundtrack.

    Brings so much memories...

  • foo fighter made the gay version of this video.

  • Screw the metal elitists. This is way better than anything on Industrial.

  • Test Drive 5 nothing beats it

  • SUCK IT UP bro

  • cool song

  • Manson is another example of this. Especially The Golden Age Of Grotesque and the last one. Just hollow albums, sure it sounds like Manson but the spirit clearly isn't there. These albums are out because he thought he needed (whatever the reason) to make an album. Not that it's especially bad, actually there are good songs, but like I said, it doesn't feel like it's been composed with the aim of sharing something, of sharing a thought, an emotion. It's hollow, superficial.

  • @VonBoche Yes,I agree mainly on what you said;the industrial metal scene sadly has pretty much weak artists in content.I used to like Rammstein pretty much but I honestly did because of their first 3 records, which had a special feel to them in their own separate ways."Reise,Reise" wasn't such a big deal;it had a few avrage songs on it,the musicality isn't completely forfilled.I can say the same about the next one,"Rosenrot".Even though the tracks were decent, they seemed like they were worn out

  • @VonBoche adn somehow lazy as well. The tension of the fans and perhaps of the label they were signed with back then, took their tool on the band members. The most recent one "Liebe ist fuer alle da" included a higher energy potential from them but still lacking some elements like clinical industrial keyboard sounds. It rather sounds like a nu metal devivation despite my liking to it.I consider Manson and Zombie too poor ripoffs of Ministry. Those two represent another example of shock value. They

  • @bloodyrockfire To me the duo Mechanical Animal/Holy Wood is very very very good. And you can find Ministry influence in every indus band, but these albums really have a personnality of their own, they're definitely not a rip-off.

  • @VonBoche Allright,if you say so.I do prefer the pioneering bands like Ministry or Godflesh though because they do sound pretty different from other ind. metal bands. There is just something about the tracks that influence your imagination and dreamworld that trascend you into a straight line of sight on what you really feel when you listen to them

  • @bloodyrockfire I know what you mean. I know it too well, actually, it makes my life feel worthless compared to what I can feel procuratively through art (and sleep and imagination). I'm kinda casting the only life I have to pipe dreams, illusions. What a waste...

    watch?v=d7C1nnR9DpU

  • @VonBoche Yes I understand you very well;not just through the video you showed me but also your beliefs behind your tastes.Fascinating, trippy and illusive.I always please myself with some ambient or the "Streecleaner" album from Godflesh mostly,I like'em all anyhow.Completely different shapes of atmosphere contaning in each of them

  • @VonBoche notice the constant seeds(today's kids) and attend to the decoy role. The audience and artists have bot a fault in this case;the audience diggs anything accesible while the artists turn greedy

  • Pitchshifter is good at making music that just makes you want to speed on a public road at dangerous speeds.

  • these guy's progress over the years remind me much of how Oomph! developed from the time they were founded 1989 til now;they had an extremely raw sound in their early days but turned very clean in the meantime;maybe too clean,I understand though peaple change and versatility is required if you want to truely remain honest

  • @bloodyrockfire I feel the same about Oomph!, though I would doubt it's about honesty anymore. Last album was not great and the english best of was bullshit... Reminds me that there is another german bands re-doing their songs in english : Tokio Hotel !

  • @VonBoche First of all I have to say that it's funny because Pitchshifter finds itself to be in a coicidence lookout.Once they signed with a major label;they backed it down with the extreme vocal disortion, however the instrumetation seems to have remained pretty catchy.I like how the synth effects run up sometimes.I'm very confused about Oomph!.They state that they want to develop their music in the way their personalities do.I kinda doubt it and not,you know."Ego" was the last album

  • @VonBoche I fully enjoyed.Eversince then the band has begun to put their emotions asside and focuse just on the music production.I clearly noticed that they sold out with "Augen auf".I just don't find anything incredibly interesting about that particular track. To me "Wahrheit oder Pflicht" starts with "Tausend Neue Luegen".It stil has some decent songs but still far from what they used to bounce around. The following two..let's see sorta sounded very similar despite the difference

  • @VonBoche between each tune.I tried to explain peaple what Oomph really has become and tell them what lies behind everthing they hear and see,and guess what I recieved as a reply"fuck you hypocrite, you're just a troll".I asume that came from certain fanatic fangirls that for some reason listen to Oomph just because they pretend Dero's hot;damn WTF!? Last I checked those guys were a highly potential industrial metal group, not a prepschool boyscout crew.I can proove it with Pitchshifter

  • @VonBoche I don't see anyone runnin' around and calling their lead vocalist hot;I mean in such an extremely outblasting matter as the Oomph fans do.I personally want to hear music, not to see fashion.Let's see what come forth with their upcoming record beeing announced to be "highly experimental"

  • @bloodyrockfire I agree. The typical nu-metal construction of every one of their songs, trying too hard to be melodic, it just made of Oomph! just another band of poppish metal you won't remember in 10 years. I don't hate it all neither though, but overall I don't listen to Oomp! anymore...

BTW, what's up with Pitchshifter ? I heard they were alive some years ago, are they dead again or did I just heard wrong ?

  • @VonBoche I don't really know if they truely are nu metal but I also noticed that;it just siuted them way better beeing all raw and agressive assisted by creepy tunes and synths."Plastik" was I think the only melodic album which sounded great in my ears.I just can't understand what wrong with these artists. Why can't they undertsand if their honest music is highly appreciated ;they be getting their cash in check. They produced some decent tracks recently but far waker than "Defekt",Wunschkind"

  • @VonBoche or "Sperm".I'm all very suspicious because they turned soft right at the time when they signed with the major Virgin. If they could've just hold on and take care of their arses on their own.Now their under Sony's control.Look at "Rohstoff" for instance. That was mostly full of weak tunes, there were just 3 or 4 songs from their glory era but those were also pretty mediocre of performance;especially "Mitten ins Herz".Instead of growling or roaring the track;he started whining not to

  • @VonBoche scare the poor little girls standing up front.Another example is that "Sieger" track they released a few months ago.I'd advise you not to even check it out if you haven't already. It sounds exactly like a pop song.No more decent singing from that Dero guy.No more disortion in the guitar sound, samples are miserably arranged and set on,the lyrics don't have any slight deep meaning anymore. Two words; fuck Oomph! "Sieger" trashed any kind of chance I could still give them

  • @VonBoche Pitchshifter has restarted their activity and as I know ,they're working on a new studio album but don't have any information about the date of it's release

  • @bloodyrockfire I just listened to Sieger, I just forgot it too. It's not that their songs are softer that bothers me, it's the lazy songwriting behind that really annoy me. It's hollow ! It's a waste when change is not for the better !

  • @VonBoche yes,Oomph! used to write their older songs with a lot more passion than today."Sieger" is in my oipinion just weak,I can't possibly find a conservative way to get into it.An overall generic sound, composed to sell most likely. What amazes me is that the fans don't seem to notice Oomph!'s downfall. They always use this excuse of "maturing" and "experimenting".I partially agree but if you keep on playing the same sounds,oh well

  • @bloodyrockfire No, some bands manage to keep their sounds forever but then I wonder how they can show any passion in their songs anymore and sometimes it shows. For example (and to stick to german indus), Rammstein and Megaherz lasts albums were very weak in my opinion, they just tried to do what they're known for, in the end it sounded like they were mimicking who they used to be and nothing else. I think there's a time where you gotta try to reach something else but your old sound.

  • Foo fighters riped this video off!!

  • this song makes me want to get into a high speed car chase

  • TM4!?!?

  • in my opinion... Test Drive 6 was best of all... it didnt have a kind of story like Ps2's test drive... and the cars wouldnt get tossed around like in TD5... but test drive 5 had some of the coolest rock music ever!

  • 33 people didn't have gamepads when playing test drive 5 on pc
