Greg McClelland, a representative of a safety committee working with the regional ironworkers unions, said Lenhart’s comments were out of line with the union’s beliefs. “To tell you the truth, I don’t think everybody else shares that sentiment,” McClelland said. If the contractors had abided by all safety laws, the three victims might have lived, he said.
Citycenter was more TALK about Safty......God Bless our brother Ironworkers Rusty and David Rabin. And, your are right about OSHA and all the contractors did very little to change the lack of safty.
@DaleFerguson433 I ran a Raising Gang for SME there for TWO YEARS!! Nobody so far has mentioned that this project was the LARGEST single funded project in the USA and that STATISTICALLY they anticipated 11 people would be killed before it finished. JUST STATING A FACT!! The majority of the deaths were caused by the victims themselves!! Granted - most of Perini's Safety Genious' wouldn't know SAFETY if it bit them, but you can't prevent a guy from stepping in front of a bus or any other actions!
@DaleFerguson433 If anything, the BIGGEST PROBLEM was and probably always will be on future jobs as well... Having Safety Personel who were actually EXPERIENCED in the craft that they were supervising. You can't take an OSHA 30 Course and KNOW what is a safe method for doing everything a person has to do in his trade!! Then you get idiots who tell you that you can't do this because THEY don't think that's safe and letting other shit slide that really is unsafe!! Craft knowledge mandatory!
FUCK Perini!!!! Perini had OSHA in their pockets bottom line!! Had men workin overtime because they couldnt meet the deadline thats why MGM wanted to pull out (March 2009) How do I know I was there! Ironworkers Local 433 RIP to our fallen brothers RUSTY and DAVID RABIN you are not forgotten.
local 2 elevator constructor proud to have our brothers out there along with local 1 iron workesr sorry to here about the tradgities doing wat they were born to do god bless

2 were rebar workers, 2 were elevator installers and the other 3 were either mechanical and or plumbing...7 steelworkers.. way to pull it out of your ass...
it is messed up that in this day in age that many guys got killed. Isn't a failure on a elevator or crane a engineer fuck up. Mabey you should pay more attention to your job than you tube mastercheif206. You talk about working men getting killed or hurt is no big deal. Explain that osha 10 bullshit to their famailies.
Maybe the employees that are installing these pieces of equipment should follow proper lockout tag out protocal. Maybe they should coordinate with their team and surrounding workers. Maybe people like you that aren't familair with proper protocals of shutting your mouth when needed are reasons why stupid videos like this are generated.
maybe be you need to stay your fucking ass in the kitchen like the bitch you are and let the men do the fucking Ironwork those are my brothers you're talking about you fucking pile of shit
Wow, I don't think you could be anymore wrong in this video, knowing that there are 8,million hours a month put into this project, and the fact that everyone on site is supposed to be osha 10 certified you'd realize that we are safe. 3 accidents have technically been on mechanical failure of elevators and cranes. So that's 3 of 7, your 90% is ludacris. Check yur facts. Yes, I am a engineer on the project so this isn't bs information i'm feeding you...
CNN(dot)com - Fighting with Russia spreads to cities across Georgia. "They are killing civilians, women and children, with heavy artillery and rockets," Sarmat Laliyev, 28, told AP. 1,400 people killed in the province and counting. And much much More. Just flip to the news channel.
Man, that is really heartbreaking. How about political negligence? How about over 4000 troops dying in senseless war? That heartbreaking too? Focus on the monkey's much much MUCH BIGGER CEMETERIES. You should make your move to CityCenter. I think you'll like it.
Man, that's heartbreaking. I'm my second year into law school, and I thought about dropping out of college to be an Iron worker. It seems like a very honorable job, but the dangers that come with it discourage me.
