Hey guys, if you like alternative/ progressive/ experimental rock, please go listen to our first single "The Second Void" and give us a comment about our music.
@wladosu,better is highly subjective but their older albums displayed a completely different sound and approach. They usually change their style somewhat (or sometimes a lot) between each of their albums so maybe you should try one of their older songs from their much earlier albums. I think it's quite usual that it takes time to get into them completely.
@maskedhero666 I can't believe you actually said that ... The old stuff PoS did was so much more than this. Seriously listen to A Perfect Element and Remedy Lane. Beats this without competion.
Seeing Opeth on Saturday 12th November in Birmingham. Found out these guys were supporting so looked them up... so glad I did, they're awesome. Just bought their last two albums!
For all you guys who talking crap about the recent albuns: Why when i come up to see videos from the perfect element, be, one hour and all their old stuff i don't see over 400 thousand views and good comments from the album? Hah, you guys (gays) rather criticize than support, i would accept all this if all of you have at least one sucess album recorded. punks!
@SRsyndrome yeah me too, you can really hear the Korn and Deftones' influence, especially in Mortar Grind, the vocals are more Trent Reznor to me, tho...
One of the greatest mysteries of mankind, for me, is why PoS isn't famous. their music, besides its beauty and complexity, can even be commercial. Doesn't make any sense.
@predador21 it's not the first band with a lot of talent ...and potentially attractive ...who remains in the dark of dictatorial modern pop music... hundreds of great bands in the last 50 years disappeared and never had a chance to really taste the confort, the delights and danger of success
@Ytigan67 i saw opeth once and it was totally awesome. never had the chance to see PoS live, but damnit, you HAVE to go there, i bet you will never forget that show
@xlr0t Unfortunately I won't be able to see it... I'm at a boarding school; the show will stop at midnight, and I have to be back at school at 11:30... So I can't go see it :''(
@9krug9ger9 I think it's a dynamic mic which allows you to record both sides, or just one. One of the sides happens to be black on this one and the other side isn't.
I've been in love with this album for a long time now but... I think the drums should be more complex on the next album. The kit looks a little too small for my liking.
@xxLovexDiesxSlowlyxx You can still do plenty of interesting things with a small kit. Checkout the Periphery's Matt Halpern. He brings with him a very small kit on tour, and he can still play the songs just fine.
Not as good as 'Her Voices' Fuck it, what is? Beethovens 7th, Space Oddity... I don't know but not much. Good song none the less, what's it about though a chick who got an abortion?
This guy is a genius. I could hardly believe how he dared to compose this album. This is progressive: Daring! And gloriously so as to strike the beholder.
@ScarSick85 dude, chill, it was a joke, you were supposed to laugh! Who cares how they look like? It's great music. There's nothing 'shallow' about my comment and the only one not being mature is you for not being able to laugh at a joke.
@DarthSivius Alright then. Unfortunately, reading doesn't give me the opportunity to define your tone, so unless it's a clearly evident joke (followed by smth like lol, rofl,:) ect) I can't know that you're joking. Anyway :) I'm sorry for the harsh comment. Take care :)
So people still wants them to return to TPE or Remedy Lane sounds huh? Well lets face it guys, we won't hear another Concrete Lake, TPE, RL, blah blah blah you name it :P. If PoS wants to play it safe they could just make every album sounds like TPE and maybe they'll become more well known, heck maybe even in par with Porcupine Tree, Opeth etc. Well nevertheless, to me RS1 is one of their best work and I'm glad that Mikael Akerfeldt agrees with me on this one ;D
I used to listen to "The Perfect Element" as one of the best albums ever. It´s a master piece. Now you give us this american style music completely out fo what I espected from you.Go back.Don´t sell your selfs.Gives us some of that progressive-metal again...

That it is an "experiment" or whatever doesn't mean you can't be critical about it, I expected more from people that listen to PoS at least, didn't expected ultra-fan boys that would clap literally to everything, even if its shit.
i don't particularly like Pain Of Salvation, nor do i like their fucking name :P but i like what they stand for, and how they change their sound in every album! Theres something about this song though, its just amazing!!
@TrueRahf I can't really argue with that cause its not like theyre on a major label or anything...hopefully Gildenlow will get out of this trying to bring back 70s rock phase hes in right now and POS can go back to Remedy Lane type shit - real progressive innovative metal
Listening to the lyrics of this song you get that is not just any song, it has a deep strong meaning just like any other they have done their concepts are mindblowing and i personally beleive that Daniel is somewhat of a genius!!! Road salt is amazing!!
This is incredible music, you lose hope in this time related to music where you feel it is lived and loved, and with the tears and the frustrating in itself.
So deep you feel on the ground, you feel the reality here you can feel the frustration and the Significance of this music.
