I toured this facility at about age 12 in the mid 70's. it was impressive in its day, although i did beet it at black jack, i hope it was better a nuclear war. almost sad to see it unused, you would think they would just upgrade the computers.
How about a Red Green musem, or aTerrance and Phillip musem. That's about all I know about Canada. O'yea I almost forgot a Dave's Farm musem with a special tribute to Wolf.
@StarCar98 Okay, Canada is nothing like that but okay... Bring it up with Sadam Hussein, our prime miinister behind a curtain talking through a hologram to people...
because everybody knows where it is now and there are at least 50 russian buster bunking nukes pointed at it, you can be sure. which makes it valueless.
would this be a good spot for a Canadian space agency ?
that was incorperated to military/science/enviromental funding .
as a lunch site for space travel
depending on rockets a area or if future space planes/ship come into effect, also instead of eventualy making a site - reusing a exsisting site to make it less costly...?
but im sure the distance of it would have to be distance from the city of north bay for saftey reasons...just a thought...
I'll buy it for 2 million dollars, and make it my ultimate party house. Massive keggers there, with 100s of thousands of people, and the best part is that it's noise proof, so it'll never bother anyone!
strangely in the uk the ww3 bunkers(sited at goodge street underground station) have been converted to a "secure storage site" how ever there IS a proviso in the contract stating that "in the event of an emergency" they will be handed back to the british goverment...you would be AMAZED at what is down there...
Talk about stupid...why didn't they use the old bunker for the new facility?? I thought nuclear protection was the whole point. I see Americans' aren't the only ones whose tax dollars are wasted.
Keep paying the fu#@in rent, National Defence! If they hand it over to a private company or worse yet, turn it into a casino(!) We'll never get another chance to have a nuclear shelter. Aside from the the "diefenbunker" in Carp. My father worked at HQ North Bay from 1972 to about 1974. At very worst seal it airtight and cut the electricity.

cobrachoppergirl,
The bunker might be usless as a nuclear shield, ... but it's still a bunker.
Any conventional attack (as unlikely as it might be right now) would have a hard time getting into that place.
