omg! I used to play what the little girls in the video are playing at school. Now, I'm too old and fat to jump over the rubber band. It's sad to see this is a forgotten past time for US born little Hmong girls.
i'm confused. what did the lao government like about the hmong in the villages and what did he not like about the ones hiding in the jungle. didn't all hmong people helped the cia. or just some of them unless they're with the communists
OMG, this reminded me so much of when i went to school in thailand. of course they hmong children no doubt about it. they're in laotian school so of course they're talk some laotian, but that don't make them not hmong ok. recess time is so noisy and fun. of course u wont be able to make out wat the kids are saying duh its noisy.
i remember playing the rubber band game when i was kid but i always had someone saved me when i couldn't jump pass their waist. :)

the rubber band jumping game has alwas been a well known game for hmong girls...i used to be hella good at it
