  • Great I found this ! The sound is just amazing!!!

  • audio only? nothing to do here

  • Did anyone ever beat the hive? I found it impossible killing one of the alien insect things on the last level. Could never save the girl cuz I always died :(. What happens in the end?

  • I bought this a EB when it first came out . Cost 74..99 . I've since traded it in for credit towards another game but some years back found it on ebay for 2.00/3.00 still sealed and brand new .

  • Sounds great!

  • ah HIVE! I'VE FINALLY FOUND YOU!!

    a gem of my childhood

  • I remember this game! It was awesome! Was the days of doom, descent, levels of the world and this. I think this game was the grand daddy of them all. The first game to be produced cinematically. Thx for posting!

  • I only have a demo version. To this day I have not seen a game with a better soundtrack !! Simply impressive. The best score for any game ever made. When playing this, you are making your own Sci-Fi movie as you go along. To own the game and to be able to play all levels and listen to the music must be a true reward. The graphics, in those days, must have been the best in the world. If you don't like this game you're not a Sci-Fi fan ! Period.

  • Lol wow I remember playing this game years ago when I was a kid. Was so hard! xD

  • I have this game on the Playstation.

    :I

  • I managed to complete this game when I used to play it, but my god did it take a while.

There's this one level as you get out the temple that used to drive me nuts, when you first fought one of the hive insects I think, was right at the end of the level and losing made you have to keep restarting.

  • this game was pretty damn solid on the pc, i remember spending days at a time on each stage.

  • just hearing this sound track reminds me of the silence before the storm, when you wait patiently, finger on the trigger, keen eyes awaiting.

each level always seemed to have a moment of peace before the enemies arrived. yap this music brings back memories alrite.

  • Okay, long delayed followup of my original comment, but i did indeed buy the game off ebay for the playstation.

...AND FINALLY BEAT IT!!! last level was hard as hell with all the aliens guarding the girl, especially trying to use a console controller to shoot off the crap on their legs/belly

  • damn, i remember this game. last thing i can remember, that this hive dude was in a dark pyramide with different traps everywhere you made a bad step or direction.

  • Wish I could find this game.

  • I remember this game quite well! Was loads of fun back in the day, although I dont think I was ever able to get through all of it.

  • Also, I forgot how awesome the music of this game was. Really something. Favorited.

  • The best rail-shooter of all that fashion. And one of the first pure Windows95 games :). 4:02 makes this game worthwhile ever

  • I remember this game well, the music in the

game was fantastic, I hope someone manages

to upload the entire soundtrack from

The Hive sometime soon. Thanks for

    the memory.

  • Glad you enjoyed it. If I can ever get around to it, I might make more Hive-related videos.

  • Amazing game, i particularly loved the "Planetfall" level where you started flying toward the planet at a very very fast rate and had to maintain a flight path so you wouldnt burn up.

The demo disk only let you play the turret level i think? that level was insanely hard.

I need to buy this game again, maybe its on ebay somewhere.

  • Yes! I believe that was the second level. And I think you're right about the demo: I remember being in the room with all the screens where you select a level, but you could only select the one where you're on the turret and could swing around 360 degrees.

...If I can get my computer to run this game better, I will try to upload some video capture of The Hive.

  • That's how I remembered this game. One of the only games I've played with a lv like that.

  • FUCK YEH!!! And it still worked before we got XP a year ago.:-) Very fucking fun game even though I was only old enough to play it in 2001!

  • I have the original game. If I can find out how, I'll try and post the cut scenes when I get a chance.

  • I've got a demo disk for this, but it doesn't work on Vista.

  • Ive Been looking for this..

Yes.......It's all comming back to me..

    windows 95...

Do you think you could put the music for the Level Selection ?
