Bro you know what this means. He is almost ready to pull of a 1080. Bob is doing it in steps you know. 1080 requires you to land Fakie and he did a Fakie 900. This is MAJOR progress into landing a 1080. I believe either he is going to do it first or that 14 year old kid names Mitchie Brusco. I hope it's Bob though. Because he already, in a way. Demonstrated that it is a possible next leap for him. Because he did a fakie 900.

@Kranda123 I would actually suggest that if he tries it, he'd actually want to launch fakie and land regular like you would typically see with a 720. 720 to fakie's are rare. I think I might've seen Bucky Lasek do one once in some older video. That'd be my guess anyways.

But is it easier to do a fakie 1080 and land it regular? I don't know. I am sure the first 1080 will be a regular one. That is what i am hoping for of course.

got mad respect for burquist and that was dope n all, but damn, tony hawk went hard doing the 900 on vert all those years ago. the speed from a mega is a pretty huge advantage. in my opinion, tony hawks was way more spectacular..but maybe that shows my age a little more. oh well. there's my 2 cents.

@srvwannabe but its not that simple, when your go into it you have wind pushing against you when you land you have roughly 2000 lbs of pressure to spread out because energy can't be destroyed only transferred. you have more airtime but you also have to compress 2klb of force and try not to obliterate your ankles.

Less have landed it on mega. Its a lot harder on megaramp no question. I hate how people try to make mega out to be easier because you have more air time. And just because your spinning faster doesn't make tricks harder either. Spinning slower over long period is harder than spinning fast.

@tdaness You gotta also figure that part of the reason that part of the reason that less have landed it on the mega ramp is the fact that less people have actually been on it haha. Just think about it... thousands of skaters have been riding half-pipes and bowls since vert started 30+ years ago. Not until 1999 did someone (Hawk) successfully land a 900 and since then only another handful have done it (that we know of).

@kescree of course not dummy, you land in the opposite direction you started (velocity now goes backwards), thus 1/2 rotation or anything with full rotations and a half will make you land in the same stance you jumped

That was some slick landing from a huge height, 900's are usualy landed frog style. I still think a 900 would be more difficult to land in a vert ramp as you dont have a big long run up or any time to set yourself up for the trick.
