lol this must be an OLD ass vid, the yoshihiro ps1 emu was lightyears before the official sony one. infact the code used to create this was "stolen" by yoshihiro, he simply added a menu without making any alteration to the actual emulator code and released it as his own! i forget the name of who the real creator was LOL. but to the point, you can run any ps1 game at near full speed with custom firmware. google is your key.

Dawg, I've played resident evil on my psp before when I got the iso file, and made it an EBOOT.

It is very possible to play those games, as long as you have the right programs, and a Custom Firmware psp. Also, the psp isn't weak at all.

That's really the most powerful out right now cous of its capabilities.

It's not possible by default.

You need a so called "custom firmware" wich enables to run foreign programms.

This is one of that Programms (an emulator)

Well i hope that you know that the PSP can play PS1 games without a problem ;) the emulator for the ps1 is built in by sony since the 2.71 firmware, you do not not actually need to use a custom firmware, although with a custom firmware you can unlock the truly potential of the PSP ;)

no each disk is treated like a different game i hav both disks on my psp the leon version and the clair version but i think u use the same code 4 both of thm i recomend using autopopstation4 uless ur already using it

I didn't, you could use the RE2 game disc for PSX in your psp. You just need to hack it and put CFW. I got RE3 in my PSP, I just can't figure out how to get RE2 to work in my psp.

if you insert ps1 game in to a ps3 convert it to psp system you need a mod chip for your ps3 then psp will rekanize and read off from ps3 then the game will apear on psp then you can then play it from enny where in the house or apartment lols thats how i do it basicly ^^

damn psx to psp has come a long way since this video. Those cut scenes are laggy as fuck. For those who don't already know, hacked psp's are the shiznit i highly recommend doing it (but make a pandora's battery first in case you brick your shit)

Uhm.

You guys DO realize there is no need to run a 3rd party psx emulator (ie psx-p alpha or beta), right? The psp has one built in. Its unlocked with a file called key.bin. This was on the psp version of Hot Shot Golf 2. The "key" thats in the key.bin file unlocks the hardware emulator thats already built into the psp.

Just put the key.bin file in the same folder as your psx eboot.pbp file.

PSone games on PSP owns, especially the Dark_Alex sony emulator. Took me a while to install everything but its worth it. Currently playing WWF Smackdown 2, Gran Turismo 2 and Tekken 3!

Wanna know how? Just go on Google search "dark alex psp 3.40oe" and then you'll pick it up, can't tell you where to get PSX games from but you can either torrent them or rip your own. Like I said, takes a while but TOTALLY worth it.
