This was my mom and dads song back in the 60's when they were "going steady" Mom died acouple of years ago...listening to this song makes me really miss her.

Just came across this and really enjoyed it. Could confuse it for a female singer. I decided to watch some more of his vids and I'm not surprised his voice is gone after decades of putting his heart into it. But that's a great career for you.

I never heard this version before. Over here in Melbourne Australia, Colin Cook had a hit with it, and I prefer his version as it was more forceful and also suited to his voice, and the beat was more funky.
But Wayne Newton's version is good too.
