  • @suttonagent yes, but not ONE dislike!!!

  • Outstanding!!! Bravo.....18,000 hits lol...what a joke.....should be many more!

  • wow

  • I love Rob and miss The Catherine Wheel but his music lives on. I actually prefer the raw acoustic versions of his songs. This one has been in my favs since I found it a while back.

  • man could lay down a track

  • I would like chords xD

  • Yep. Thanks Rob. :-)

  • he totally screwed up at...just kidding. Took him a bit to get into the groove, but he definitely delivered a powerful performance. He has a cool voice - great studio musician.

  • I think Rob is one of my favorite singers. He's got a strong, pleasing voice and good delivery.

  • ...wow...

  • I love this song.. Fantastique.. <3 Rob is the best.

  • Rob Dickinson is an amazing singer. I saw Catherine Wheel in London, Ontario many years ago and it has been the best concert I have ever seen. I wrote to Rob and told him and he actually wrote me back. Rob thanked me back for the kind words and said it was amazing that such a small show ment so much. It did. My favourite show ever.

  • This was before his Casbah show when he opened for someone I can't remember, and the line out in front was all for him. And so was I, right up front the stage. I even got a peck on the cheek after :) Glorious. His is music you hear and feel.

  • So good!

  • I believe Rob wrote this for himself in going from hope and delusion (a boy who never left his head) to the cold realization that his musical genius will always be under-appreciated and underrated.

The critics, the record label (opening remarks) never understood the greatness of The Catherine Wheel (It's all a lie to make you beg for something more) during the 90's when music had to suck to not be labeled Pop or a boy band.

Acceptance is how high you are and the time it takes to heal.

  • The true meaning of music

  • i love this ... its amazing ... and im amazed how he alone with one guitar can still make the songs 6 minutes...

  • Wow . . super sweetness . . an aural trinket . .

  • I can see vocal talent runs in his blood

  • BRILLIANT & BAD-ASS. The saddest thing in the world (besides all the suffering and wars and what not), is that all kinds of sucky bands break-out huge and sell all kinds of records and the mighty Catherine Whell/Rob D. languish in relative obscurity. I've seen these guys in LA and SD like half a dozen times, and they/he are THE COOLEST!!!!!!!!

  • Simply magnificant. This is a true jewel. I wish someone would enter this in a contest sometime. This is beautiful ----peace. ...

  • outrageously good.

  • i concur

  • WOW. I've always been a huge CW fan, but that was amazing. I can't wait to see him perform live, this weekend in Chi-town.

  • Amazingly talented! He is truly gifted.

  • Gorgeous singing, I love his voice. Brilliant.

  • Rob is gracious and cool; may he reap some sucvess-he deserves it!

  • This is just ridiculously good. Also saw that '98 show at 9:30, and a '94(?) show at the old 9:30. I never expected they'd be as good as they were live. Rob is one of the best performers I've seen, right up there with Bob Mould.

  • It's all a lie. It's a lie to make you beg. For something more. For something better than you had. I wish I knew. I wish I knew how to change. Cause everyone needs someone to live by.

  • Rob found me on My Space and I am an instant fan. I agree, very underated.

    Love it!!!

  • does anyone else see robert downey jr singing this (at least in the beginning?)

  • "I call it strange, from a boy who's never left his head"...love that line! Heal is top 5 CW songs for me anyway.

  • Awesome. Catherine Wheel must be the most underrated band in history.

  • i agree wish. The thing that blows me away is that this song has 7000 viewings and oceans has 80000.. i'm a throw back iguess but this is simply amazing and thats that.

  • This is awesome!!!! He really nails it. Thanks for posting!

  • saw them back in 98' @ the 9:30 club in Washington DC...my fav live ever...I even remember rob wearing a t-shirt with the titanic logo on it...weirdly prophetic for such an underrated band

  • cant wait till you come back to Toronto Rob> if your'e listening--keep on rockin

  • Speechless I mean... :)

  • as gorgeous a melody as it must be challenging to execute solo. But ohh-my-stars how he pulls it off!!Ditto, donnymarnock!

  • he is a genius - its that simple

  • simply amazing sound -awesome performance!!!

  • in my opinion, catherine wheel, were totally (unpretentious).

  • Too bad we can't see Halloran in the shot!!

  • Rob is fantastic! Met him in San Francisco this summer, seemed so humble and burnt! That ruled! Loved Catherine Wheel as well, great audio on this one!

  • Oh my god, that was beautiful.

  • Incrediable lyrics and emotional delivery. This guy is a gem in music.

  • What an Amazing Fuking Songwriter. Go Rob.

miss CW, ty for uploading this !

  • best song, by the best singer from one of my favorite bands of all time

  • do I have to come to the US to see him??

no way to catch him round here in Ita.

  • I saw him last night in Toronto, and I'd pay anything to see him again tonight. A fantastic performer! Tore up the audience as they sat there trying to find their dropped jaws, mine included. My fave CW tune too, on the earphones is the only way for me to go, with this, and all CW.

  • Cool tooheys

I was there too. It was very amazing. Now i just wish someone would post a video or sound clip of the "end of the world" song. That brand new track was just breathtaking!

  • Dancingmind, I know exactly what you are talking about, End of the World, that was the most memorable moment at a concert I have had. Not only my own feelings during the song, but when it ended that every other person there loved it too, and cheered for it...WOW WOW WOW. I have posted comments on Rob's "myspace" asking that very question about it's release.

  • hloveday posted "end of the world"!

    I favorited it!

  • He's absolutely amazing! Just got back from seeing him in Hollywood...breathtaking!

  • I just saw Rob this past weekend; the acoustic show was incredible. He opened with this song, and played it just like this. Thanks for encoding/uploading!

  • Most musicians tend to loose there edge or passion after time (my opinion). Fortunatly thats not the case with Rob.

Awsome performance!!! Cant wait to see him in Reno this month.

  • hahaha, I hear halloran in the background.

  • this song disappeared from my hard drive (along with Ruby and Art Blakey). At least I can still listen to it hear. "Black Metallic" was my fav CW song UNTIL I heard "Heal" live. Wonderful.

  • I have all the stuff. More than glad to dropload you a file of Mp3s. Leave me an email address in my utube mail.

  • there are few catherine wheel songs that aren't amazing live. you can tell how great dickinson is by his acoustic jams. This was my wedding song...

  • Superb!

  • most refreshing...takes me back to 96

  • excellent! brings back memories of seeing him play on his tour with The Church this past year. Great music!
