i think it is a really bad idea to use a magnet screwdriver because if you poke something wrong it might corrupt something. and could have said the dvd rom writer was optional? maybe iono but great video! very simple to understand and great lighting.
You never mounted any distance screws. I dont know if that particular chassi perhaps didnt need them but If a beginner was following this video and skipped them S/he might endup with a broken motherboard.
There are so many great videos on how to do this. And so many of them (not all) forget to mention one very important thing to beginners. Stand offs, so that you don't short out your precious new build lol. This is very important to beginners and it should be showed just as much as everything else is in these videos. But other than that great video.
U can get hold of a bootable cd, eg: windows, and config your bios to load the cdrom first, then restart with the cd /dvd there, and follows the prompt.
Sorry to say, it will not work because the slot size and location is different. PCIx16 is found in the newer motherboards, and so old systems are not compatible.

In the PCI slot allocated below the graphics card. The best way is to open up your PC casing, and trace the sound card connections to see the exact location of the sound card. Thats why i call it D.I.Y =)
I understand that the GFX is installed at the PCI Express x16 slot right? Well what if it's installed at the normal PCI slots? Or the PCI Express x1 slot? Will it still work?
Normally, it is not only the CPU that is generating heat. Heat also comes from the Graphics card, hard disk, and other misc items you install. Hence, it is recommended with extra fans to reduce the heat and enhance reliability of all components. Hope that helps !!
hey i have a problem with my older pc can u help me? it has this thing that each time i turn it on its bleeping and sometimes wont even start but never boot to the windows it keeps cheking internet and wont boot help!!! please
i did experience a similar problem in the past, so what i did was to flash the CMOS to clear all exisiting data, and enter back into BIOS and select fail-safe defaults and reboot, check your motherboard manuals for details. Also possible that the computer battery is worn out, so a new battery might do the trick.
Thanks for the video, it's not out-of-date like the others!

wads the casefan for? I thought the CPU cooler is to "blow" the heat away from the CPU, then what's the casefan used for?
