It only takes 3min and this band are amazing!

  • Thumbs up if you dont give a fuck that this is steve coogans brother and hate people mentioning it to look clever.

  • Quality, quality, quality, quality

  • Fucking ace

  • sweet mother of christ; didnt realise whsmiths had a pop video sideline where groups could quite literally come in off the street, put on a white polo neck, rent a mike stand, and receive cursory dance lessons before knocking off a debut video to test the market with. i gather this kind of activity works doubly well as a cv bulker for later more realistic forays into the job market, B&Q, Allied Carpets and ironically, WHSmiths. aha!

  • I can sure dig it.

  • stands head and above as the greatest one hit wonder of all time

  • CAN YOU DIG IT???? SUCKA!!!!!

OUTNUMBERED, you can taste the estrogen !!!!!! but its still a great song.

  • after the stone roses comeback maybe we'll get some desent music back, what the fuck happened where people actually watch the likes of x factor to listen to shit

  • This song makes me want to stamp on Simon Cowell's face! Smug twat .

  • This is just so much better than modern music.

  • i think that's Alan Partridge's brother.

  • @Eoinposse You're right mate, it is!

  • What was the film where it was about a lad chasing his hero George Best ???

  • music was so much better without all the bullshit that there is today - glamour, media frenzy, autotune, swagger, image........

  • this song reminds me of the decade before 2000.....can you dig it

  • Scousers arent they?

  • @GeorgeMadFerIt93 Charlatans were my fav's mate!

  • @TherymasterWidnes they're great aswell but if i had to choose between the two it would be MOCK TURTLES

  • Honestly music nowadays are shit except with the odd one. Every genre seems to merge especially pop with rnb and hip hop. That's the most annoying kind. E.g. Lady GaGa, Rihanna etc. It annoys me so much.

Music like this was the best. So true about people who say music now has the glamour and people do it to get famous. it should be like this!

  • JOANNE GENT!

  • it's such an obvious rip-off of the stone roses album, it's downright embarrassing and seemed so at the time. they were just as manufactured as 'steps'.

  • @uclrichard derivative or not it's a great one hit wonder

  • The music industry is trying to make the business seem larger-than-life and glamorous. It's just music. Ditch all the glitz and glamour and bring back the REAL MUSIC. That's all we care about!

  • @quincywho AGREED!

  • Epic

  • @RangeOfJav que??

  • It's impossible not to feel good listenening to this!

  • @askarpopoylos..... more like a young Lou Ferrigno before he went all green and frightening.

  • I will always have fond memories of this song of theirs. Viking FM (local radio station) always played it back in the 90's.

  • Ahhhhhhhaaaaaaaa!!!!!

  • The guitarist reminds me of a young brad pitt

  • someone said earlier the x-factor judges were a panel of fucking jumped up cunts. i have to agree with this veiwpoint.

This song reminds me of the vodafone ad in the cinema

  • sounds same as DEAD MAN WALKING STIFF LITTLE FINGERS (SLF)

  • One of the most underrated bands of the 90's, some of their stuff is now difficult to get.

  • will someone turn the light on~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  • ALWAYS cheers me up.

  • sounds like jason donovans nudger being dragged down a blackboard fuc of

  • Steve Coogans brother! What happened to Martin Glyn Murray

  • bring back britpop guys we miss you britpop forever

  • great to go back in time and hear proper music - takes me back to heywood civic hall with about 50 others - if you were there, I was the one infamous for wearing the limited edition blue lay me down top!

  • this is what real bass is about.

  • Oh well,at least we've got our memories, what have this generation got?

  • @captaincomputa I don't get this, what memories do your generation have? we all have memories. i have no idea what your implying here..

  • @fenbob I'm implying that this generation will have nothing good to remember, what songs are they going to look back on in 20 years time with fondness Ga Ga,50 cent etc,i don't think so,surely you understand that or maybe you're into all the current rubbish?

  • @captaincomputa For a start you mentioned 2 people only, Not to mention the two most irrelevant people you could of mentioned, They are more mainstream music, right? Was the Mock Turtles Mainstream in the 80's? No. If you're going to compare, do it properly. Mock Turtles was a great band. Im a big fan of the Madchester era. Considering im from there. but lets not be blind. Music nowadays isn't total Sh*t. Their are good bands about. Always will be. Some people are just narrow minded.

  • @fenbob some people only know what the radio tells them.

  • @fenbob Sorry, but just name me one good band in the charts right now.

  • @captaincomputa Charts? what charts? i dont follow anything like that.. "the Charts" do not decide if a band is good or not. Oh.. and for the love of god.. don't forget that what we're talking about is opinions, it is not fact. even if i was to name a few bands. you could turn around and say they are sh@#. But to say this current generation has "Nothing" is just silly. Someone who doesnt want to forget the past, so much they despise the present.

  • @fenbob Go on name them, name anyone decent around now?All thats let are The View,Radiohead,Beady Eye and High Flying Birds.

  • @captaincomputa well there you go brother, you just named a few yourself. Do i really need to name anyone now?

  • @captaincomputa You're absolutely right about the fact this generation doesn't have a lot of bands to look up to, and that's fine since I prefer bands from previous decades anyway. But although I wholeheartedly agree, it really pisses me off when people bitch about how our generation sucks: we already know this generation is a deluge of corporate mediocrity and we don't need to be reminded about it, so please don't rub salt into the wound...

  • @GoAskAlex1991 Oh well,at least you've got access to all the good stuff on here:)

  • @captaincomputa True :) sorry if I came off a bit angry, it just dissapoints me how you can't look at any band today and think 'they're gonna be stratospheric', and that really angers me, because I know such a band does exist but they aren't getting the exposure because of the way the music industry is nowadays...

  • @GoAskAlex1991 If you tell me who they are i'll check them out and let you know what i think.

  • @captaincomputa Thats the point though, there's no bands I could mention that relate to the comment :/

  • intro is very hard to play on guitar :/

  • WHEN MUSIC WAS FUCKING GOOD

  • CovKid80// I live in the U.S. We've had our share of great music. But not like your Britain. You guys just keep churning them out. I heard it must be the water.

  • I do hope you limey bastards know how lucky you are to have such great music from bands such as The Mock Turtles-Inspiral Carpets- The Bees-Pulp-Dodgy-Black Grape-Generationals-and so on and so on......

  • @Os151985 I do, I currently live in Switzerland and most people here would never heard of the likes of this real music(I do try to educate though!).

  • Vodafone have ruined this song, fuck I hate advertising.

  • @leisurelydinner They may have ruined the song. but made a shit load cash for the mock turtles....:)

  • @leisurelydinner no, it actualy suited the add very well, because it is a ssong u wud play in the background while a group of friends talk and sociazlize.

  • one hit wonders, just like the northside. proper

    madchester was inspirals, roses, charlatans.

  • One of my favourite songs, should have been a much bigger hit than it was.

  • What's the 'Madchester scene'? I'm not from England so I don't really know lol

  • @GaeilgeSpraoi madchester was the name given to the music and the scene that was coming out of manchester from roughly 1989 to 1992/93. bands like the stone roses, happy mondays, inspiral carpets, northside etc, there has always been good music come out of manchester but round about this time there seemed to be a huge explosion of it. ectasy had a lot to do with it and basically it was 'mad'

  • a mobile network company used this song for their advertises, totally ruined it for me.. ;(

  • I don't think I ever heard this song while it was popular. But, I have always loved the Manchester sound, and this is one has a beautiful creamy sound. I can see why it was a hit!

  • Why dont they make music like this anymore, instead every cunt is watchin x factor

  • @18ezo88 Absolutely spot on mate.idiots singing songs encouraged by cowell, fucking bird brain dim witted geordie bint cheryl cole and some irish dick.

Wouldnt it be nice to have people on that can only perform with something they have wrote themselves, then it might be worth watching! Oh and without a panel of fucking jumped up cunts!
