Clear man-tackle in what was an especially dirty game from everyone, including Maicon, but I don't think he planned to send him hard and awkwardly into the board like that. The push itself doesn't look as forceful as it would normally have to be to do that to a bigger player. Maicon lost balance easily because he was starting to decelerate at the time and Messi's body language suggests surprise at how hard he goes down. He does then start to extend an arm but Maicon gestures for him not to.

Clear man-tackle in what was an especially dirty game from everyone, including Maicon, but I don't think he planned to send him hard and awkwardly into the board like that. The push itself doesn't look as forceful as it would normally have to be to do that to a bigger player. Maicon lost balance easily because he was starting to decelerate at the time and Messi's body language suggests surprise at how hard he goes down. He does then start to extend an arm but Maicon gestures for him not to.
