@69wavil: I've done tons of PCR without gloves and with no problems at all. Depends on what you're doing. Obviously if you're doing RT gloves are a must, but for routine genotyping it's not really necessary (aside from the handling of EtBr)
@YGGFM.....where the hell do u work man? dont ur boss say something or he/she from the same category like u? thats not a good practice/habit unless ur lab cant afford buying gloves....!!! I have seen lot of idiots work in the molecular-biology lab without wearing gloves..!!!
@chandanpal143: we have plenty of money to afford gloves and I do not like to be called an idiot, if you please. Again, there are situations where not wearing gloves is no big deal and if you have studied the basics of molecular biology you should understand that. I routinely did genotyping of transgenics for YFP with or without gloves and have never seen any difference in results. If you don't believe me please try for yourself.
