I don't need to Google it...I'm a chemist :)....and i had my funny days with mercury fulminate, nitrocellulose and others funny staff at college with my friends.

I can assure you can't crystallize mercury fulminate. You can obtain it as a powder (that means: very little crystals, 0l.1-0.5 mm). With very expansive lab equiment crystals of 1-2 mm has been obtained. But that's the limit. It's impossible to obtain a 3-4 cm crystal Because of the instability of the compound.

@demnlordd666 The air conditioners were a bit exaggerated, I agree, but the windows not. Even small detonations inside confined rooms will thump and break windows. If they're safety glass, they'll disperse.

The whole thing really is a bit exaggerated, but it's close to the actual situation.

And they hit the nail on the head with the weird sound afterwards. If only it was stronger, muting everybody and everything.

@endimion17 ya I agree with you fully, the main thrust of my statement was to zimtower guy saying that the larger sack on the table was the same stuff, and was safe from explosion b/c of the plastic bag it was in. if it was indeed mercury fulminate (my guess based on power ) then there is no way the big bag wouldn't go off with the small vial's boom in small room. and the whole block would be hurting then and all dead. I think he stole his meth back by threatening it was the same explosive.

actually the flames are not the bad things... Because fire the fire only last a second. it burns your hands and face but not through your close fast enoth too hurt you. The shockwave is the bad thing. If you look at an atomic bomb you see two things. fist shockwave (traveling 300 meter per second) and second the destruction. The shockwave goes through you (it doesnt push you around) but it makes horrible damage.
