Punk rock used to be this movement that had the punk state of mind, but now it's a fashion because it's defined by the clothing and the attitude and even the music. I mean the very first puk songs weren't called punk rock songs they were just rock songs punks played, everybody imitated it and it stuck around. The grunge movement was punk, it didn't have any stipulations. Punk cabaret is also really open minded. Punk's the closest thing to freedom.
